Stayed for four nights and a good base for touring the Brecon Beacons. The rooms are comfortable and dog friendly. No TV or WIFI and in our case (room 4) obtaining hot water was a constant challenge which the management treated as a low priority. The lounge area could get very crowded in the evening as residents, restaurant patrons and...

Thank you for your feedback. You did email us after your stay and we dropped you an email back to explain that a part of the shower in your bathroom had incurred a fault which had stopped the supply of hot water to the basin, but not to the shower or the bath. I'm sorry that that it came across...

Have been coming here for several years, never disappointed always an excellent lunch and very good service. Consistency is the watchword over several years always a pleasure to eat here. A very good wine list reasonably priced and top quality as are the excellent Welsh cheeses.

This was our second visit to the Griffin, staying for three nights this time. I genuinely can't think of anything to find fault with. The staff are extremely friendly, the food of a very high quality and the rooms are lovely. We took our dog with us; they describe themselves as "dog-friendly" which is frankly an understatement. They couldn't have...

We had visited the other two gastro-pubs in Cornwall and had wanted to 'bag' the third one as a birthday treat. Good decision. The Griffin is comfortable, congenial and so very cosy in real Winter weather. Staff are helpful, jolly and knowledgable about the area. Room was just right - we weren't planning on spending much time there - but enjoyed...

Nattering away in the car, we spotted The Grffin and went in, only to find it was the wrong one ( thank goodness) so beat a hasty retreat, phoned for the postcode and found the right one just up the road. And we're so glad we did. I plumped for the fixed price menu, a choice of two dishes for...

Felt we were in safe hands the minute we arrived for our 2 night stay with friends. Registration was in the delightfully cosy and quirky lounge/bar area which had an open log fire blazing. We were efficiently shown to our room by friendly staff and given a jug of fresh milk. Our room (number 2) was classed as a standard...

We had eaten at the Griffin a few times but had never stayed before now. The food and wine were up to the normal excellent standard and the staff are always delightful. The rooms are comfortable and cozy - no internet or TV - bliss! To be able to just relax and read or chat in front of the blazing...

We stayed 3 nights on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. Staff were really friendly and the whole place, although it does not look like much from the outside in a wet February is really welcoming. The bar has interesting drinks and wines at reasonable prices and the food is very good. There is plenty of good walking nearby and...
