We were taken to lunch here by our son.The welcome we received on arrival was great , we were taken to our table beautifully laid with proper linen napkins and flowers on the table. Water was brought promptly, and drinks order taken immediately, the attention from the staff was truly amazing the food was delicious, very unusual and well cooked....

The location is convenient for getting around The Brecon Beacons and next time we'll explore further North to Hay and East. Our room 7 was clean, uncluttered and pleasantly decorated, an ocean of calm. The bath really good. Our one niggle was trying to cool the room down. The bathroom has hot pipes beneath the floor and is always warm,...

Thanks so much for taking the time to feed this back, we really appreciate it. The only thing to add is that I hope our website doesn't come across as hyping us up: it's not supposed to!

We spent two nights here recently, using the hotel as a base for walking in the surrounding countryside. The accommodation is warm and comfortably unfussy, with a spotless bathroom, crisp bed linen and excellent attention to detail (for example, the small bottle of proper milk that you take to your room for hot drinks - a welcome change from the...

Delighted you had a good stay with us. Making sure we are prepared for most food allergies, intolerances and preferences is one of the things we really concentrate on, so very happy that it proved to be one of those things which made a difference for you. Thank you for your feedback.

Came here on the recommendation of a friend for the food. Service was lovely, good atmosphere and very good beer. Better meal than any michelin star restaurant I have been to. Absolutely loved it, couldn't recommend it more.

Million thanks for your thoughts. Always so important when we've been recommended as the judgment of the one making the recommendation can sometimes be at stake!

This stay was quite a disappointment. We arrived with high hopes - we love the other two places that the Inkins have - but these were quickly dispelled by the cursory welcome we received and our rather dismal room. The bar area itself is a very pleasant place. Our evening meal was far below the standard of the Griffin's sister...

We stopped here for a light lunch but wish we could have stayed for the whole 3 courses. The menu was exciting and the staff very friendly and knowledgeable. The food was of the standard I have had at Michelin starred restaurants, we will make a point of returning

A good choice for a special meal. We were given complimentary fizz to celebrate our birthdays. Food and service are excellent and the ambience warm and welcoming. The extensive wine list has wines by the glass, carafe or bottle. We would confidently recommend this restaurant.

Myself and my wife just got married so we always come here for a lovely meal and always given excellent service from all staff. Sam who is one of the main staff is always polite, very friendly, excellent customer service.. There are many locals who also come here, they also are very nice people. Richard who is one of the...

Weekday lunch. Basic welcome. Quite, lack of atmosphere. Female staff satisfactory, male (barman) should be out of a job. Dining room comfortable, could have been warmer. Generally clean, with sufficient lighting. Food. Alright, although one expects better for the price, small potion of vegetables extra charge, dented to excess! Wine list good, ordered both red and white, white was warm...

I'm sorry to hear things were not quite right for you on a few levels. Watching them work as I do, I think our team are great rather than satisfactory, and knowing the building as I do, lack of atmosphere is something the Griffin is rarely accused of. I fear we were never going to please you but hope you...

Visited for my husbands birthday treat. Lovely welcoming pub, great service, comfortable bedrooms (great as it didn't have a TV which makes a nice change). Food was excellent and great choice of wines and local ales. The pub seems to have thought of everyone as they provide towels etc for muddy wet dogs when they come back from a walk...

Thank you so much for feeding all of this back to us. I particularly appreciate hearing about your approval of the lack of a TV on a day when I've taken a tirade from a visitor to our other hotel who claimed never to have come across a bedroom without a TV having visited "thousands of hotels" in her career....
