I have been meaning to visit this place for some time now, only because we happened to drive by on a road trip we spontaneously booked a one night stay in a spa suite.
From the moment we walked in the door , the views, the cleanliness and facilities we felt at home.
Watching the world go by was awesome .
Never saw the llamas but some goats and chickens. We will be back if I could rate 11/10 I would

Charmaine, was awesome and the cottages were amazing. I’ll definitely be back for another stay. Highly recommended. The location in mountains is absolutely beautiful. It’s only a short drive into the local town. To say it’s tranquil would be an understatement.

What an amazing place!! A wonderful, peaceful retreat !! How great it was to arrive at such a lovely cottage that was spotless, modern and very well appointed with everything we needed for our stay, Loved the information folder, very helpful. Relaxing on the deck looking at the picturesque view, soaking up the country atmosphere was the perfect break ! We will definitely be back.
Thankyou Cameron and Courtney

To begin with, the booking was easy, communication from the owner was clear and timely. The cottage was clean and very well presented.
With the location and, I expect, the clientele being couples, I would have liked to see a champagne stopper and glasses supplied. There was only instant coffee, no plunger or ground coffee. They may seem like little things but it shows that the hosts have thought about the potential needs of their guests.
When we stayed, the tank water had a little funky smell, but that may have been due to the season and not normal.
The location was good, the view across the valley from the balcony was nice, and again, the cabin was clean and well presented, so thank you.
I do struggle to appreciate having to pay for the accommodation, and then wash up or be fined extra. I don't think you can have it both ways, but others may disagree.

We stayed here looking for a quiet night away. We stayed in the spa suite which has a beautiful view out over the valley.

There was a self contained kitchen and BBQ and clean, modern bathroom.

This is not 5 star but is very cosy, clean and comfortable.

You don't need to leave your cabin.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are pleased to say the lady on management was very nice.

I would definitely go back here.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. It is really good to hear that you find our cottages relaxing and enjoy your time here! We had lots of guests agreeing with you, that the website didn't do the place justice, so we have a new one now, check it out, and tell us what you think!

Be sure to photograph your room on arrival and if there is any damage at all, report it immediately. We were hit with a $1500 debit to our account for damage we did not do. We eventually cleared our name and it was refunded but it was badly handled, ruined several days (and nights) of our first trip to Australia and we were left out of pocket. Beautiful situation but wouldn’t go near the place again or recommend it owing to our experience.

We decided that we needed an alternative to staying on the coast and we were very happy with the choice.

Our accommodation was studio like with all the necessary bits and pieces. The only thing that could improve this place would be a heater in the bathroom as it gets chilly in that area. The water pressure is a bit low but that is due to not being on mains water so that can be expected. The bed was sumptuous and the kitchenette very ample including a fierce microwave that could cook anything to ash. There is a balcony with a wonderful view of the valley and it has a BBQ. The balcony has lots of room so you don't feel closed in if you wanted to cook and eat and enjoy the scenery.

The wildlife is equally as interesting as the Llama and goats that are on the property. Some wildflowers, a large carpet snake and a very small but extremely interesting spider kept me occupied for our walk around the area.

This place is full of serenity and it is very peaceful when the motorcycle riders are not using the road as a GP track.

I like to take photographs of the Milky Way and this place would be just ideal as there is no light pollution in the area. Sadly, there was a full moon so I was not able to take any pics but it gives me a reason to go back.

This place is just wonderful and it would be in the top 5 percent of all the places I have stayed at anywhere in the world.

It's so pleasant to sit on your cottage balcony and look out over a beautiful view. The cottages are very peaceful and quiet. The cottage is clean and has a lovely large comfortable bed. However, the accommodation falls short in a few areas. The water has a really bad aftertaste and the bathroom's shower head is so low that it's unsuitable for anyone standing over 5 feet. Also, guests are expected to wash their own dishes and place all of their rubbish outside. If you fail to do so, a surcharge of $20 will be incurred. I understand there may be many reasons for the surcharge but I perceive it negatively. I'm on holidays, not cleaning coffee cups or taking the rubbish out are luxuries I usually look forward to when holidaying.

Hi and thanks for your review. We always listen to our guests and take into consideration their views. Unfortunately, though there isn’t a lot we can do about the water, we are on tank (rain water) and I suppose for people who aren’t used to it, it may taste a little different with the absence of chemicals, same goes for the shower heads, not a lot we can do about that, this is the first time anyone has mentioned it as being a problem, I think what others do, is aim the shower head out a little rather than stand directly under? We do ask that guests remove their rubbish and wash their dishes. I can understand that this might seem petty to some people, but we are a small business with only 2 people to clean and prepare 5 cottages for new arrivals with a window of 3 and a half hours, and whilst most of our guests are wonderful and leave the cottages as they found them, we had to implement this policy for those few that choose to leave rotting prawns in the bin under the sink (can you imagine the smell for the next guests!) and baked on food in the frypan which then needs to soak for hours and if every dish is used, then that’s an added hour for the cleaning. As you will be aware, we often allow early check-ins when possible, especially for those guests attending weddings, and if we didn’t have this policy, then there would be no way any early check-ins or even a 2pm check-in would be possible, so we find that this practice is actually very good for everyone. Of course we don’t charge $20 for a few coffee cups or dishes, it’s only in extreme cases. I’m happy to say, we use this policy rarely!

Having to attend a wedding at Glengariff Estate we elected to stay at these cottages and what a great choice it was. The host was delightful and the cottage spotlessly clean and comfortable. We now wish we had stayed an extra night to enjoy the peace and quiet of Dayboro. We found the bed to be one of the most comfortable we have experienced. If I had to make a suggestion it would be that the bathroom needed a hook for the bathrobes provided - which is a very minor issue - but a worthwhile addition. When we go back next time will be for a minimum of two or three nights.
