very very nice lodge , super clean , comfortable and quiet and well located. Great hosts and the breakfast was delicious. The wine and cheese at 5 were a nice welcoming touch also. We enjoyed walking down to the lake and a couple nice bistros for dinner right across the road

We stayed in one of the downstairs rooms in the main lodge over the 4th of July weekend. It was clean, comfortable and cozy. The wine and snacks in the evening were great, and we enjoyed chatting with our hosts and their guests. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. The location was great for walking to the lake (especially for the...

We just returned from South Lake Tahoe and a stay at Black Bear Inn. We have stayed in many B&B's across the U.S. and Canada but this one has to be one of our all time favorites. The location is perfect for exploring the area around the lake. The inn is about 5 minutes to Heavenly Ski Resort and the...

We stayed here after the music festival. The cabin was/is beautiful. The breakfasts are great and varied. If you have a wish let Jerry know, he'll do his best to met you needs or wants. The grounds are well maintained. The spa is hot so any sore muscles will be relaxed as you will be.

First of all, I have never written a review for anywhere we have stayed, in all our travels. My husband and I went here for our first anniversary. The inn is a perfect match of rustic and luxury. The decor is so tasteful (our room had all Ralph Lauren linens). There was NO dust or mold anywhere. The breakfast was...

Our family of four, my husband, myself and two teenagers (ages 13 and 15), were very lucky to have had a two night stay at Black Bear Inn in August 2014. Originally I hadn't considered staying at the inn as one of the travel guide books said - no guests under 16 or 18 permitted (I can't recall the exact...

This is a well-run lodge in South Lake Tahoe, with lots of parking, surrounded by trees, some large rooms, and a great common area with a large fire place. We were well looked after, with home-cooked breakfasts made immediately we came down for breakfast. A few blocks down the road there is the Blue Angel Cafe which we also recommend,...

My partner and I have stayed at this most excellent location several times over the past few years, and had the opportunity to stay once again this past weekend. I am a lifelong traveler, and this is by far one of the best locations I've ever experienced anywhere on the planet. The cabins are perfectly decorated and spotlessly maintained. The...

What a fantastic place to stay! We visited during May whilst on a road trip around the USA. The accommodation is beautiful with Jerry and Kevin having created an amazing retreat. The breakfasts were lovely and Jerry and Kevin are fantastic hosts, providing help and assistance with bike rentals and where to eat around Lake Tahoe. The afternoon drinks and...

I am a performer and I travel to Lake Tahoe for work about once a year. This trip, I had the opportunity to stay here, rather than one of the large hotels/casinos (which I abhor). When I travel for pleasure with my partner, we often stay in B&B's, so this was a big treat for me. This property is sublime....
