We stayed in a studio. It was way better than a hotel room. Very nicely appointed and comfortable. The staff was very nice and the free continental breakfasts hit the spot. The outside of this building is dated but don't let it fool you- the inside of the remodeled rooms are quite nice. The resort is located very close to...

We stayed at the Americana for a family ski vacation. The rooms have been updated to mountain modern and are very attractive and convenient. The staff was amazing, and definitely the best part about our stay at Americana. Paty, Rosie and Sandra in the activity center were particularly lovely. The location could not be beat. Just minutes away from the...

They had n outdoor hot tub, pool and sauna. There was free laundry and exercise room. Nick was very nice and professional. They had a little breakfast each and served 2 meals . I have to give a big shout out to Rosy Ramos. She worked in the kitchen and did the activities. She was so friendly, bubbly personality, and...

Enjoyed our week visit at the Americana. We were there when they had the huge snow storm . Lots of snow piled everywhere. We had several issues with our Tv and once we called down to report the issues they responded immediately. The activities staff provided great entertainment for us such as bingo, tie dye t-shirts, meet and greet, karoke,...

We stayed at the Americana Village over Martin Luther King Day. We booked the room last minute which I have to say, was a little confusing. Trip Advisor and the Hotel themselves told us that they were booked but we were able to make a reservation on Expedia. I was a little worried that the room would turn out not...

My friends and I stayed here for New Year's Eve/Day, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. Booking was super easy, the room was clean and comfortable (very pleased with the kitchenette), the staff was incredible, and the location was perfect! It was also a great value considering all of the other hotels in the area were either completely booked...

Great location. My wife doesn't ski and she could walk to most local shops, restaurants, and attractions while the boys and I hit the slopes. AV is family friendly, has family/kids activities, free breakfast items, and hundreds of free DVD selections. The property is older and lacks some of the more modern amenities of newer properties. That said, we came...

We had the opportunity to stay at this hotel for a week just before Christmas. We had never stayed in South Lake Tahoe before. It had always been a "drive through" location. We had gone there to do some skiing at Heavenly. Those thoughts were out the window as soon as we got there: no snow. The ski lifts are...

very friendly and helpful staff, at-home feeling. free breakfast was nice, but wished more healthy choices were there. fair amount of indoor activities schedules for kids/family. more outdoor activities would have been good to have for boys.
