The place was nice, but based on the website, I had higher expectations. "Smores from 5-10" implies that the smores are free, no? The communal dinners on the website were also nonexistent for the nights we were there. Also, parking was an issue, and there was a limited selection of food at the beer garden. The walls were quite thin-...

Staying at Basecamp when you're in Tahoe was definitely a memorable experience, friendly staff, balcony overlooking the snowy mountains was a plus, clean rooms. The only thing is that there is no elevator, so carrying your luggages to the 2nd and 3rd floor was not fun. And their free breakfast was only waffles and bread. Tight parking spaces. Other than...

Basecamp has recently renovated rooms with great service! We booked last minute during a snowstorm and the hotel was a great place to hang out while we were snowed in. Their beer garden has great food and drinks with lots of board games that were perfect for the snowstorm. We loved their hot chocolate bar in the lobby.

The staff was not very welcoming and thorough in terms of providing guidance to people. The check in lobby, and breakfast location was in different sections which can be confusing to people and inconvenient when guests have kids such as myself. There was construction going on also the place was not very presentable and worth the price for the stay...

Ok place to stay and good locationnot far from gondola. Room ok but heater was noisier than a jet taking off so had to forfeit heat for sleep and always woke up frozen. No heating in bathroom which was an uncomfortable experience after skiing all day. Breakfast was tasty but nowhere near enough seats to eat it. One toaster and...

That was my 2nd time in this hotel. This time we came with our little chihuhahua. Eventhough the hotel was almost empty, they gave us a room almost outside the hotel just because we have pet. Also, there is a huge pile of snow (like a mountain) bloking all the sunlight coming in. The pathway was blocked for us to...

Stayed for 5 nights for a skiing holiday. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location, Only a 5 minute walk to gondola and lots of restaurants and pubs nearby. A good breakfast included, and coffee and tea available in lobby at all hours. Would definitely stay again.

I've stayed here several times and love it. The staff is friendly, rooms are great and I dig the continental breakfast that includes waffles. They lay out cups with pre-made ingredients so you just have to pour into the waffle iron. How cool is that?! Dig the hot tub on the top deck. Rooms are decorated super cute. The closets...

Basecamp has it all. Easygoing environment, tasty breakfast, onsite tap room with German food and a six-piece live band the night we were there, great beds and linens, proximity to skiing and casinos, AND we were allowed to bring our dog for a small fee.

Guests were smoking Marijuana all over the property. My 4 year old son and 2 year old daughter were exposed to this. Breakfast was shut down early for no reason. No refrigerator in room. No insulation in rooms, you can hear EVERYTHING. Absolutely one of the worst stays with my kids I've had in a hotel. Will never recommend this...
