We stayed at the 2-storey cottage with spa. The rooms were spacious and beds comfortable. There were also 2 airconditioners (1st and 2nd floor) making our stay more cozy. All the amenities especially in the kitchen were well thought out! We were also able to hire a fire pit for the kids’ smores. The lake view from the cottage during sunrise and sunset was immaculate to watch. We enjoyed walking around the park as it was quiet and people around the area are respectful. We felt very close to nature as we saw possums in trees, heard kookaburras laugh and watched ducks swim near the cottage. Staff were very courteous, clear and prompt when answering our queries. We also received a text message for a late checkout until 5pm instead of 10am for a reasonable fee. Thanks to the lovely team of Ingenia Holidays Lake Macquarie for making our trip enjoyable and memorable. Keep up the excellent work! More power to you all! See you again soon!

Had a fantastic week at the Lake Macquarie Ingenia park. The park was quiet and well kept. We were fortunate to be in a Lake view property. If you like fishing this is a perfect spot, our son caught fish daily off the jetty. We were able to hire canoes from reception and fire-pits are available also, the kids loved foraging for wood. There are nearby beaches to play on for kids and dogs, the Rockpool at Norah Heads is stunning. Orange picking at Dooralong was fun too. The staff are so friendly and kind. We will definitely return. My husband and i just returned from 3 nights at Ingenia Lake Macquarie. We were supposed to be on a cruise but due to covid it was cancelled. I had never stayed in a caravan park before but I can tell you it won't be my last. I found a mid week deal in a waterfront cabin and we decided to book it just to get away and relax.
Booking: The whole booking experience was easy, booked online paid by credit card and got confirmation right away.
Check-in: Easy process, checked in by a lovely lady who explained how to use gates, gave a map of the property and gave us some information for nearby takeaway places.
Waterfront cabin: We had waterfront cabin 3. The cabin had been cleaned and had a sticker seal over the door to confirm covid cleaning had been completed. Upon entry you could smell cleaning products which indicated that it had been freshly cleaned and the whole cabin was spotless. There were 2 bedrooms, one main with queen size bed and the other room had 3 single beds. Bathroom was decent size with small bath and small shower. My husband is 6 foot 6 and found the shower small but I didn't have an issue. There was a full kitchen with oven, hot plates and dishwasher, full size fridge and a BBQ and sink on the deck. There was also 2 TV's, one in lounge and one in main bedroom. There was even a pod coffee machine with pods included.
Property: The property was spotlessly clean. There was a pool, playground and jumping pillow. We didn't use the pool. There are lots of ducks which wander around the property and will even come up on your deck. They are very friendly and will eat out of your hand.
We had a great time away, everyone we come across was friendly and welcoming. There is not much to do in the surrounding area, we drove into Newcastle one day and went to the movies at Westfields Tuggerah the other day as it was raining. There is a woolworths at Lake Munmorah which is about 5min away. We had a bbq 2 nights and went to Doyalson RSL the other night. We thoroughly enjoyed ourself sitting on the balcony watching the water. It was just what we needed and we will definitely be coming back

Truly magnificent views from waterfront cabins. We stayed four (4) nights. It should have been 44 nights. We had a 6 berth, 2 bedroom cabin with lake views facing the East for sunrise each morning. It was somewhat soothing and peaceful. Cabins were excellent. Because we were on the water, the aircon was not required frequently. Looking forward to going back, but in off peak season. Prices are very high in peak season.

On Saturday night, a drunken, loud party of guests from cabins continued until 1am. There was no manager or security on site. One of the cleaners came from a nearby home after we called at midnight.
Our site was adjacent to a dreadful site which was not mowed etc on the Friday morning when we arrived. It remained that way until we left two days later.
The amenities were a fair hike and there was mould all over the ceilings.
When we booked, we were told that there was only one powered site left. Over the two days that we stayed, we asked to be moved to a grass site in the better part of the park if a cancellation occurred. Despite SIX vacant sites during our stay we were told that there were none available.
As a Big 4 member, I was appalled about our site, the ammenities and the dodgy site that we were allocated.
We had wrongly assumed that the manager would contact us regarding our valid complaints - but no.
It was one of our worst experiences in two years of travel.

We had the pleasure of staying a total of four nights in a studio cabin and had an awesome time. Park facilities are great there’s everything you need in a huge gated area (what else do parents need!) a clean well maintained swimming pool, huge jumping pad for the kids, bbq & common kitchen area for all to use. Pedal bikes to hire from reception was also a great experience for the kids and adults alike. We really enjoyed every aspect of this holiday. We’re so glad we chose to book here. Everyone was lovely to get to know guests at the park as well as the locals when we went fishing and a little beach trips. Definitely would recommend this place especially with kids. Also definitely coming back! Thanks guys.

Facilities are average and swimming pool need maintenance. No social distancing were maintained in the swimming pool. There were over 25 to 30 people in the tiny pool. The day we departed, all the electric and wifi facilities were turned off very early in the morning. It will be great if this can be provided until 10am in the morning.

We had a good time when we stay. They may need to speed up the renovation around the other bungalows as it looks ugly. Please arrange more activities for kids to do. Adding paper towels in the bathrooms should be ideal.

The facilities were not clean regularly for how busy it was and said on their cleaning that they were clean in the morning and then checked not clean again in the arvo when the park was full. Smelled at water edge and overprice for what you got. It sounded like helicopters flying around at night but it was the noise from the power plant that was close by.

A muddy, boggy mess of a park. Amenities during covid 19 should have been cleaned more that once a day, hand sanitizer bottle in the gents was empty the whole time of our 3 night stay. Only a muddy path to dump point. Lot of very old permanent caravans in park which really brought the standard of the park down. Well below normal standards for caravan parks. Wouldn't go back...
