We were staying in a villa close by, but were allowed to use the facilities of the hotel almost daily for the passed two weeks. We had several relaxing massages, delicious breakfast and dinner and even were able to use the laundry service. Thanks to the most friendly staff around we always felt very welcome as if we would be staying in house. The food is to mention - there are two menues, the standard one with Indonesian and international food, all very tasty AND the ’health menue’ with the most delicious dishes, from all day breakfast treats like Chiaglasses with fresh fruit or rosemary eggs with avocado on sourdough bread to the most delicious dishes like Quinoa Salad, RA Lasagne (all vegetable/vegan) and bowls! And if you like chocolate- the ’jungle chocolate’ is a must! Next time we visit the north of Bali, we definitely stay in this beautifully kept little place!…

Such a delight to return to Poinciana for sun, snorkelling, good food and drink, and delightful service from the whole staff team. Thank you to everybody including - Nyoman, Made, Dewa 1 and 2, and Iluh for another very special few days. We will be watching the airlines closely for an opportunity to repeat again next year.

The most basic room for around €50 per night was good, and also it has the nicest views in the north side of the island. With its own beach. The staff was very nice and patient answering all our questions and attending us after arriving past 10pm with mo reservation. This resort has massages service and pools near the sea. Breakfast was also included with the room.

This hotel is a little gem in an otherwse rather deserted area. The service was excellent, the food was one of the best we had and the rooms were spacious, although a little lacking in decorum and light. The staff looked after our every needs, the hotel was quiet and serene, we had dinners and massages next to the water, fire pits at night on the sand and decent cocktails. With two pools, we got to pick and choose and truly enjoyed our stay there. They totally understood what service is and (sadly) this was an exception in Bali (for us).

Attended a 7 day workshop in April Beautiful 24 room resort right on a black sand beach. Really would class it as 5* as brilliant staff always on hand with a genuine smile and hepfulness. The Spa is amazing in it's therapeutic benefits and you've GOT TO try the vegetarian/vegan food - never tasted vegan food SO GOOD! The entire layout of the place is beautiful and relaxing, as are the rooms. I just love how every day all the statues are decorated with fresh flowers. I will be back for sure :) Thank you to all the staff, particuarly Ipoh (Mrs) Made and Nyoman Sulastry for making this unforgettable. Unfortunately I cannot remember the names of all the other superb staff. It is a long drive from Denpasar, but SO worth while since the south if Bali sadly has changed and is too hectic.…

Everything and everyone at Poinciana was wonderful. We received personal attention and care, plus everyone knew us by name. It was the perfect place to get away from the crowds and enjoy the peaceful tranquility of the incredible surroundings.

This was our third stay in six years at Poinciana, and definitely won’t be the last! We stayed for nine nights. Two and a half to three hours from Denpasar, the Tejakula region of Bali could not be a greater contrast to “down south” the pace is slower, the locals are more interested in where you’re going, what you’re doing and where you’re staying than trying to sell you anything and they are polite, friendly, and helpful to a fault. Poinciana itself is a true gem. It is a small resort with options from small one room villas to large family villas. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, and the genuinely remember returning customers. The only minor drawback is a limited range of dining in the local (walking distance) area, however the in-house restaurant is great, and Warung Made just a kilometer west of Poinciana offers fantastic, high quality, exceptional value Balinese fare. There are 2 great pools, an onsite spa and a coral reef on the back doorstep with snorkeling equipment and kayaks available for a modest rental fee. I cannot rate the entire experience at Poinciana, including all staff - reception, kitchen, housekeeping, drivers and security any more highly. If you’re after a different Bali experience and like to be treated like one of the family, do yourself a favour and book your next holiday at Poinciana!…

Superb place to have completely relaxed time. Extremely nice garden and pools, very friendly staff, clean rooms, and really nice shore makes your travel great. Not too many things to visit in the very close neighbourhood, but you can rent a scooter at a reasonable price, so it's not a big issue anyway. The only minor issue to improve: the wifi connection could be better. Highly recommended.

Once again we are indebted to Made, Dewa 1, Dewa 2, Desak, Iluh and the whole team at Poinciana for a simply divine 7 days of relaxation and mind/body recharging. There can be no higher recommendation for a venue than to make it the centrepoint, for a 4th time in a row, of our journey to Bali. The spa treatments and meals by the sea are designed to bury themselves into your memory and sit alongside the images stored there from snorkelling 20 yards off the beach and which make an English winter bearable. Our best wishes to Nyoman and Charles and the next few months will be spent scouring the airlines for next year’s return ticket to paradise.
