We stayed 4 nights in the Humpback whale room which had everything we had hoped for. A beautiful view towards the sea, a delightful balcony with numerous comfy chairs shared with others which made it very sociable, a lovely shaded sitting area downstairs and if you wished a cosy lounge with TV. It was also quiet and street parking was...

We had a lovely few days here. Location is great for yummy restaurants and trips to excellent beaches. The manager of the place was brilliant she could not have been more helpful and knowledgeable about the area.

peaceful stay with a wonderful view. non-intrusive but quality service. Lovely rooms with a classic feel. Walking distance to all of Kalkbay's sights and venues. Wish we could've stayed longer. It was a lovely break away from all things busy.

Booked here as we could not stay extra in the lodge we were staying in. Nice location for Ķalk Bay, close to the shops and easy reach of Kalkies, a must eat place! Our room was right at the entrance, bit noisy but not a problem, spacious. Colonial feel.

This is a small and charming hotel very close to the beach and the town centre. I had a huge, nicely decorated and clean room on the ground floor but with no view on the beach. Soundproofing is a weak point if you are sensitive to noise! The service was very good. I had to pay for the Wifi which...

The view from the patio is fantastic. Room was comfortable, our bathroom was not en-suite but for the price that can be overlooked. There are some rooms that do have en-suite bathrooms. Parking was on the street.

Great guest house experience. Simple. Surrounded by great shops and eateries. Blocks away from the rail line. I'd gladly stay again and recommend to others. They have all the household amenities that you need for a most comfortable stay.

We found the Castle Hill Guest House to be lovely in every way. From the views on the verandah to the old world charm of the bedrooms. It is within walking distance from everything...restaurants, shops, theatre, train station and the beach. The staff go above and beyond to help with any query. We really couldn't have enjoyed it more!

The stay was pleasant and the location is excellent. The receptionist/manager was pleasant and helpful. The room was big. The duvet was too hot for summer and we had to ask for a summer duvet. The pillows were not of good quality. In general, the accommodation was good value for money, but the guest house is in need of an...
