Our second time at Pomene, this time with my sister and hubbie from the UK. Pomene Lodge has been run down over the last year or two, but this we knew and so treated it as a Robinson Crusoe holiday. Although having said that and why I give it a five star rating is because we were looked after like...

We have been returning to Pomene Lodge every few years since 2006. The magic of the place is not only it's position on the spur of land between the bay and the estuary, but it's diversity of accomodation - from the luxury cabins, to self catering, to camping with or without barraca's. All guests are welcome to use the bar,...

Wow. Second trip to Pomene Lodge in past three months. The place is magical and worth every penny. From deep in the estuary to tide pools at the point, and everything in between, this place is special. Diving and recreation options abound, more so here than in other nearby areas. Fishing can be quite good. There's no shortage of big...

Stayed for 5 nights with 3 other colleagues. The rooms are very basic and had no privacy at all, as the walls are made of shade cloth with no blinds. Something was wrong with the sewage system... the shower had a stinky smell of sceptic tank... The kitchen/dining building was very poorly built and must violate all H&S rules. We...

We visited Pomene Lodge spontaneously, stood 1 night in the Lodge one night at the campsite. Both was just perfect. The stuff is friendly, special thanks to moises, who is fullfilling every wish. We did a boat trip for deep sea fishing, with a awesome crew and some amazing fishes we caught. The lodge prepaired the fish for us to...

We stayed at Pomene Lodge for just over a week and I can recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil, budget beach holiday. The cabins are cleaned every day, the mosquito nets, mattresses and swimming pool are all in very good condition and the restaurant makes fantastic food at very affordable prices. The bar makes fantastic cocktails and the...

you can reach Pomene Lodge only by 4x4. At the time we arrived it was spring tide. Some parts we had to drive through waist deep waters. Driving through the sandy roads is doable - keep your speed. The place is wonderful and isolated. The lodge is situated on the lagoonshores on site and the other side is on the...

We camped with our own tents in the camping area of the lodge. 50 meters from the surf!. What an experience! Friendly staff always at hand to help. A beautiful beach with water one never wants to leave. We also had access to the swimming pool of the lodge and went there for sundowners (R&R's). There is no wifi and...

We had a wonderful holiday for 7 nights at Pomene Lodge. Go with an attitude to enjoy nature and the peace and quiet and you will enjoy your holiday. Walking, snorkeling, fishing, beautiful sunsets and endless numbers of Flamingos are all there for your enjoyment.. Thank you Conrad and Pomene staff for your attentiveness. Hennie & Eva

Our December holiday was totally amazing - this is a unique spot and paradise! We only experienced 100% help and support from the manager, Conrad , his wife Monique and the team of wonderful Moz people that work there. It is unrealistic to expect total luxury from a remote peninsula destination that is not charging $$$$ - so one has...
