We were visiting friends in Boca Chica and decided to go kayaking. Our friends phoned the folks at Gone Fishing and they were amazingly accommodating. Within the hour we were on the water and had a great time, The islands, inlets and bays are absolutely beautiful around Boca Chica. I wholeheartedly recommend the Gone Fishing for their excellent staff and...

After a long, miserable journey on the PanAm highway, our family stumbled upon a place called Gone Fishing. The place was built by an ex-pat by the name of Bruce and no expense was spared. He was just the right person we needed to run into. It was extremely helpful to find an American who knew the lay of the...

We arrived Boca chica and looked at some hotels. Gone Fishing hotel was by far the best for us! (family with kids) Amazing location. Great pool for the kids. Short trail to the beach and dock. And the atmosphere... Wow... So relaxing. Bruce the owner was so nice and friendly, we used his huge kitchen to cook dinner. We stayed...

We had a very enjoyable stay here and I agree with the other reviews. The lodge was clean and comfortable, the food was excellent. We did small boat excursions with the kids to various islands. Good location and Bruce was fun to talk to and easy to work with.

We stayed for a week. Multiple fishing outings and many, many great meals onsite. Bruce is an amazing host - and captain. Some of the best sleep I've had in a while. Rooms are very quiet, and comfortable. We've stayed at other spots in Boca Chica in the past. Looking forward to our next stay here - we're done with...

My wife and I loved our stay at Gone Fishing. Bruce was a wonderful host, full of good conversation and helpful recommendations and contacts for our boating and transportation needs. Andre's meals were delicious. Being that it was the quiet season, we were the only people there for much of our 4 day stay...and we loved it. Like having a...

We stayed two nights/three days in January. Had read good reviews on Tripadvisor and drove up to find they had a casita room available. The main lodge rooms were only open for one of the two nights we needed - the casita room was, we didn't want to have to move and we were not disappointed with our choice. Cassis...

For the non fisherman do not be mislead by the "Gone Fishing Panama" name. The Boca Chica area is dominated by fishing lodges which offer combined fishing and room packages. Many of which preclude the public from their premises. Gone Fishing Panama is a boutique resort hotel. It offers rooms to non fishing travelers. The majority of the guests are...

Wow, when you walk into the house the view is so shockingly beautiful. We had the same view from our room, the Blue Room. We also had a hammock on the large patio for your afternoon naps. The air conditioning worked very well, which we left on day and night. Met some very fun people, Brian and Jeff. We boated...
