Nice old building from outside, however as soon as we came in I had an intensive feeling like to be back in the communist times of 1975 or so.... Black walls in the corridor need desperately new painting already for decades, the carpets help to create gloomy atmosphere. We had a cheap room with shared bathroom and toilet. The room was small, bleak and depressive, the beds were bad, the bulb was giving just a faint light.... On the other hand the staff was good, we could store our bicycles in the the locked room. The cleaning staff made their best to keep the rooms and bathrooms very clean. The breakfast was poor, no choice, bad coffee.... The entire hotel needs a complete reshaping and most likely new concept and management, too. All in all this hotel is acceptable for someone who has very low demands. More

The hotel and restaurent has a polish tradition roots in Czech. Before II world war it belonged to Poland, so the staf can speak among many other languages, the polish. They present goood service, regional Czech kitchen and especially very cheap good Czech and Slovakian beers. It is locaced opposite to renovated railway station I remember escaping by train for emigration from communism system to Greece in 1978 30th Sept, so my memories are true and always when I am in Cesky Tesin I go to hotel Piast for rest and drink. and reming that times. Very nice young staff. More
