We stayed at las piedras for 3 nights. We had warm greetings from Olga and Marco's, and everything went uphill from there. Clean rooms, hot showers, 5 min walk from the main square, but far enough to be relaxing and peaceful. Marco's even doubles as a guide and we headed into the mountains for 2 day trips. Lots of fun...

We have been there for two nights. The hostel lies 5 minutes from the centre, which makes it easy to relax with a nice view at the mountains. Olga, the new owner since 2014, is a really nice bolivian woman and a professional cooker. We had quinoa fritters and a really good salad there as well as scrambled eggs with...

My wife and I went with two friends and we had so much fun! Marcos and Olga made us feel right at home! we bought a sheep and Marcos prepared it and Olga cooked it, so incredible. We went to the Grotto "gruta", it was awesome like the blue grotto without the wait. The people in the town were friendly,...

The owner Olga, a young Bolivian woman, has taken over the this hostal about a year ago and she is working hard to make it a success. She is superfriendly and everything in the hostal works. Hot shower. Clean bathroom. Clean sheets and good beds. Olga cooked a wonderful breakfast exactly according to our wishes. The hostal is situated at...

Stayed in Las Piedras one night, new owner, Senora Olga is very friendly and ready to help with anything her guests need, from organizing a trek and a guide, taxi, advising on local attractions. Our corner room had views over the valley, private bathroom and most of all, excellent soft pillows and down comforter. The breakfast is extra, but large...

Olga (from Sorata) and her team is running Las Piedras since 3 months and she is doing a very good job! While keeping the hostel clean, she makes very tasteful breakfasts and dinner! She really understands how to give customers a warm welcome and a pleasant stay. Keep up the good work!

Arrived in Sorata after pretty awful journey from Copacabana. Lonely Planet led us to expect some sort of lovely oasis, but we found the town very dirty and options for eating very limited. This hostel was the cleanest of the three we looked at, but the owner was very grumpy as we checked in, though she thawed a bit with...

We've stayed here at least a half a dozen times now. Very clean, good beds(love the down comforters), bright cheery rooms with good views. The proprieter, Petra, is a wonderful host and makes a great cappucino. All the food is good. Try the home made chocolate sauce with the pancakes. We'll definately stay there again.

When we arrived the girl at the counter told us the double room with a private bathroom was 100 bolivianos and the one without was 80. We chose the one for 100 and stayed for three nights. But when we checked out the owner Petra said the room was 140 per night and that if her staff had given us...

We arrived quite late and tired at this place and our first impression was pretty bad, the owner (a german lady) was very unfriendly, she told us that it was not the good season to come in sorata ( in fact we had only sunshine), and because of a farmer strike the road will be blocked in two days. The...
