Found this pub on trip advisor whilst looking for somewhere to stop for a light lunch just off the A303. We were greeted with a friendly face & shown to a table in the bar. The menu, ambience & quality of the food was superb. We chose soup & half a sandwich which was so tasty. The funny thing was...

Looking for somewhere to have lunch just off the A303 and we spotted a person by the side of the road advertising this pub. We turned off and are glad we did. The waitresses are very friendly and helpful. The menu has a good choice of both main meals and lunchtime light meals. They had a guest ale which went...

This was my second visit and yet again the food did not disappoint. This time I chose the steak with blue cheese sauce. The steak was cooked beautifully to my liking though I'm not sure that cabbage was a good accompanying side dish. Good to see the salt and pepper pinch pots have been replaced with a proper cruet set

I've driven past here many times and on this occasion was in the area on business so decided to book a room and meal for the night. The room (4) was quite small but okay for a night with a large bathroom and comfy bed. The room is very close to the very busy A303 and I expected a bad...

My first time for a few months and the standard of food remains simple and good value. The service has improved enormously in recent years - and the chairs are much more comfortable. If you are travelling West on the A303 why not stop for lunch before hitting the traffic jams by Stonehenge.

We saw the sign post on route to the West Country and needed a break from the drive. The thatched pub was cosy and welcoming. Their was a full restaurant menu but we settled to eat in the bar. The baguette was fully loaded and my bruschetta was delicious--- grilled halumi and avocado. Service was good and the staff very...

Lovely to find this old pub 14th century full of charm and character and friendly staff, thanks to the man on the 303 standing with his sign post doing a fab job otherwise we would not have stopped there, i had a huge burger with sweet potatoe fries and my husband had goulash pie both very nice, warm log fire...

Visited with a mix of family and friends for dinner. Menu looked really good but most of us were seduced by the brilliant selection of homemade burgers. We weren't disappointed. Everything freshly made and well cooked. Kids menu also good, and portion sizes were generous. Not your usual selection of processed rubbish deep fried in breadcrumbs. If it's on I...

Saturday lunch. Met up with some friends for lunch. We all had a very good meal, my friend said the fish and chips were the best ever. The landlord was very friendly and helpful as were the rest of the staff. It a dog friendly pub, treats for them. I shall enjoy a return visit and recommend it to all...

We were part of a group (a family meal) where a couple experienced inadequate service owing to unforeseen problems. This delicate situation was resolved with the upmost understanding, apologies and over generous compensation. Despite the occurrence we would strongly recommend the Inn for future events. Thanks to Johns diplomacy.
