The hotel wasn't near the center of the city but they offered free transportation and also picked us up from airport for free. The accommodation was poor and old, the room seemed clean, the bathroom was trouble, there was no hot water and the pressure was extremely low. Breakfast was good and the price also good. They recommended us and we booked a trip to Rinca Island but the agency turned out to be a bummer

From the outside this is a beautiful looking hotel with rooms wrapping around a garden with large pond. Peel back the layers and it is well in need of a refurbishment. The room has flaking paint on the walls, the bathrooms are not particularly pleasant with toilets so low you feel like you are using a children's toilets and could be difficult for older clientele to get up from. There is also no hot water. Our air con switched itself off after an hour which meant 3 very sweaty nights of disturbed sleep constantly turning it back on. The breakfast was poor compared to other hotels everything precooked before 6am and sat on the side until end of breakfast, with the number of staff sitting around doing nothing I can't understand why they don't cook to order. That said the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the free shuttle into town in the evening is a must as the hotel is a good walk from town with a number of hills in between. Add £3.00 to your budget to get back from town in a taxi, we spent a lot going back and forth which could have been spent on a better room. There is little going on in Labuan Bajo so we wished we had booked a hotel with pool as the beaches are dirty as is the sea.

In our 5 day tour of Flores and Komodo island, this is the one we like most. It is good valed, clean and nice. We love to return someday. It is not so far from the culinary center in Kampung Ujung and the harbor.

If you are a traveller with high expectations then you will be disappointed, but If you are looking for good clean budget accommodation with a delightful garden then look no further. I have read all the negative comments written about this hotel and obviously as I was not present at the time of the visit I am unable to comment. But, I was happy with my stay, a little quirky around the edges perhaps but it suited my needs perfectly.
I would encourage the management to spend some of its budget in repairing and bringing up to normal standard some of the room facilities before it becomes too expensive or economical to do so. Taps, mirrors, and bathroom facilities all need attention.
To survive in this hotel here are a few hack that I found useful.
1. Before you go to bed fill the plastic bucket in the bathroom with water. So if you have a lot of guests all getting up at the same time using the water, the pressure drops to Zero. So the water in the bucket helps with the toilet and washing/Showering.
2. Internet is not supposed to work in the rooms. Simple move the desk to the window where there is a signal.
3. If you have just ordered the last Bitung beer in the refrigerator ask them to refill it before you need another beer. Simple.
4. If there are a lot of business guests attending a seminar staying in your room, bet to the Breakfast buffet before 0600 hrs. Otherwise, it is devastated.
5. although not widely advertised, the hotel does have a lunchtime menu. there is a menu in your room and at reception. Order and enjoy. It is really good food.
6. Finally if life is getting to you too much seek out Miss Vera at the reception. She may not be the Manager but she certainly knows how to get things sorted out. Well done Miss Vera. The other staff are a great group of people.

We stayed in 3 different hotels in Labuan Bajo, and numerous during our travels across Indonesia, and this was the most disappointing by far.
We've been backpacking for a little while, so we're familiar with budget accommodation, but it the interaction with the staff at Green Prundi that really disappointed us.
We contacted the hotel upon booking with them to see if they would collect kindly collect us from our previous hotel, to which they agreed, but come collection time nobody turned up. We waited for almost an hour in the sun, repeatedly tried to call the same number we'd used earlier before flagging down a paid taxi. Upon arrival at Green Prundi, we asked why nobody collected us (there were 4 members of staff sitting in the communal area, playing on their phones) at which point the staff all laughed, turned back to their phones and one member of staff reluctantly began checking us in with no explanation. Even upon asking numerous times, they understood our question and chose to ignore us.
The town shuttle service was only offered to us between 6-9PM (so we never used it), however we did schedule an afternoon airport transfer, which they tried to rush us on to 15 minutes before our agreed time (not helpful when trying to check over your bags for flying).
For what you get the rooms are slightly expensive by Indonesian standards, but everything is in Labuan Bajo so cannot fault them for this, and the rooms are big with good aircon and a picturesque garden. But the stained sheets and bathroom smelling of sewage are not acceptable.

I keep the 5 stars because has been by far a really confy acommodation, room were clean and silent, strong WiFi, tasty buffete breakfast, beautiful common areas and peaceful atmosphere, of course super friendly staff and hot water, is really hard to find all these under the same roof in labuan bajo...

Only but is that is a bit isolated but they offer free shuttle from/to the city at certains times.

Highly recommended

The room 50 is a bed bugs nest! After 1 month travelling to Indonesia in green prundi is were we had the worst night ever!

The 2 beds were literally infested with bed bugs, we could not sleep the hole night and we had to stay awake sitting on a chair because even after killing them they kept coming.

I never put this kind of reviews but the management of this hotel should do something about it !

If you check the bed sheets they will be covered with blood as this is the sign for bed bugs.

There are many nice hotels in Labuan Bajo this place is far and is not worth it. Avoid.

Staff extremely nice and professional. You feel very welcome and safe. We stayed there 5 nights and I would definitely recommend this place to friends or families.
It is 10 minutes walking from the main street of Labuan Bajo but they offer shuttle service at any time (free in the evening to go for dinner). Staff has been great. Quite place to rest. An advice: do not get a hotel in the main street of Labuan Bajo, it is not worthy. Green Prundi is an excellent choice if you want a quite, clean and good room for a very correct price. This hotel should definitely be in the lonely planet.

We stayed in Green Prundi few nights. Basically we came to Labuan Bajo for diving so we were spending only nights in the hotel. And this wasn't a nice experience at all.
Apart from the friendly staff there are not too many good things to say about the place.
Rooms are dark, everything seems very old, mattresses, towels, sheets. Everything had stains. The walls weren't painted a long time. We spend there few nights but the room wasn't clean even once.
The breakfast was really poor. Premade fried eggs and sour pancakes or toats with margarine.
The hotel is very close to the airport but far from the town center.
Clean the rooms, put some paint on the walls, invest in bed and bathroom linen, change the bulbs. This would make the place way better.

Greast place to stay in Labuan Bajo. It is just outside the city (port area), close to the airport. You will have a airport transfer if you book in advance.
It is little more pricey than other accommodations (280k for a double room) it is well worth it if you want to relax.
They will also bring you to or pick you up from the centre between 6 and 9 pm with their bus for dinner. But sometimes they can also bring you during the day.
Walking to the centre takes about 20 minutes.
Would certainly recommend this place!
