We had a lovely stay at Plataran in Labuan Bajo. Without doubt it’s a beautiful resort and made even more lovely by its staff. Oksa, Harry and Stettal who couldn’t do more for us. The service was lovely. The hospitality is typical of the beautiful natured culture of Indonesia. Our room was amazing. It was also low season so it was very quiet and very few guests which was good for us. Nice touches like afternoon tea and the welcome drinks and breakfast by the pool were lovely. We only ate on one evening and had the buffet. It was ok. The spas treatment was lovely. So, things we would change…. There seemed to be a lot of litter on the beach which again having been to the region before I know this is a problem, but if I’m not mistaken although someone was clearing it up, they seemed to be making big holes in the sand to bury it 🫣 There’s a brightly coloured plastic kids play structure on the resort which seemed out of place and was a bit of an eyesore as it spoils the natural setting, it’s a shame it’s not made of wood, which also I’m sure would be more sustainable. After all where is that big plastic unit going when broken/old/tatty? It’s hardly bio degradable. The taxi service they order for you is way above the local prices (3x) so it’s worth finding a local person and hanging on to their number. Although it’s convenient using the hotel taxi it’s overpriced. I appreciate the butler service is something that some people would like , and Oksa was so lovely, efficient and very kind, I personally would offer an ‘opt out’ option. Being on vacation and having to look at your phone to communicate with someone or respond to questions about our plans for the day, what food you want, etc for us was not ideal. Most the time we didn’t have a plan and liked it that way. Again I totally appreciate some people might like it. It was also a shame that they only organise private charter trips to Komodo island with a minimum of 6 people which was so expensive. We went into town and arranged it ourselves. One of the Best hotel that we stayed so far. Amazing place to stay. Highly reccomended for spending honeymoon. We got excellent service during our stay here. They have clean beach and a small jetty. So beautiful place.

All is perfect. From the very first step arrived at Komodo airport, Plataran's staff welcome us very nicely. Even more mesmerizing there was welcome traditional dance at plataran lobby. And I had a chance to try on Labuan Bajo's traditional costume. Perfect and nice room, delectable foods and drinks, impressive view, with so many options of activities that I can experience for free, from canoing, stand paddling, snorkeling, trekking and many more. I really had a great fun here, especially when Daniel, the best butler and Oska serve and help us all out with their happy smiles. Thank you Plataran Komodo. Hopefully I can visit this amazing resort again one day.

Plataran Komodo is definitely one of the nicest locations to stay. We booked the duplex room as we travelled as 3 adults. Rooms are fantastic, great amenities and so close to the beach. Oksa our butler was so helpful, arranging an itinerary, restaurant reservations and anything we needed in the room. There is amazing beach area, great water activities and a beautiful reef to snorkel in from the jetty. Afternoon tea is a nice addition which was in a different location each day. We booked the Plataran boat for a day excursion to Komodo island, Padar island and Pink beach. Timing was brilliant and the crew were great. A special mention to Jhordy for the trip to Cunca Rami. It was very special to visit such a beautiful location, enjoy the jungle walk and visit his home village. Super flexible on timing and stopping to take in spectacular views and scenery. I’ve stayed and dined at most Plataran locations but would highly recommend Plataran Komodo. Very special indeed.…

Very nice and well managed Boutique Hotel with personal service. From day two everyone addresses you by name. We had a beach villa just a few steps away from the outdoor gym and the restaurants. The hotel arranges tours to other islands like Komodo from the jetty by the hotel. I want to be back next year. Highly recommended.

Absolutely loved our stay at Plataran. We chose a beach front villa with pool and were thrilled with it. The villa was very spacious inside, beautifully appointed and clean. Had lovely homely lounge and dining area, airconditioning, water dispenser (cool and hot) and beautiful views of the beach and the sun setting over the water. Breakfast and afternoon tea were included. All the food we ate (either in the restaurant or as room service) as delicious. There is plenty to choose from at the two waterfront restaurants. The staff were all lovely, very helpful and keen to know everything was perfect for us. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Ulfa our butler helped arrange a fantastic outing - picnic on a deserted beach, snorkelling and then a visit to Rangko cave. The spa managed by Ameyla also fantastic. Choice of massage styles, beautiful decor and very relaxing and uplifting. We are really keen to return. Very highly recommend, thank-you to everyone, it is truly a paradise!…
