Komodo resort We spent a week at The Seraya and during this time we did a few trips notably to the komodo park , pink beach, manta point, turtle point and various different islands. We spotted the Komodo Resort on one of our trips. We were thrilled and excited to pay a visit to this beautiful resort. So we booked 3 nights there to continue on such a fantastic experience we had at the Seraya. After booking & paying in advance we were pressured by Agustina to pre book diving trips & pre pay for the komodo park which is not necessary as we had already done that with The Seraya & we paid on site. We were the only visitors. Agustina from the mainland office was putting a lot of pressure on us to book the diving & antigen test as she says she has other clients waiting and there’s a 4 minimum policy for using the boat. We should have got that as a hint! The boat turned up to pick us up no smiles no welcoming. On arrival at the resort we immediately notice a lot of staff hanging everywhere in clientele areas. Beach bar, restaurant. We felt as though we were intruding. We felt insecure and unwanted. The whole team is so unmotivated & a clear lack of leadership is obvious. Actually there is no leadership and nobody in charge. We discover that the Spa is closed which would have been nice to say in advance. The first 3 starters we order for our first meal not available. Again we were clearly unwanted there the waiter rolling his eyes at every question. Vegetables were water spinach and cabbage on day 1 just cabbage on day 2&3. The fish either over cooked or still frozen! The food was as bad as the team working there. It was just a bunch of kids running a riot all day & all night & nobody had a clue how to do anything. Even kids of the staff were hanging in the beach bar. We travel a lot & this was a complete fiasco. The owners need to be ashamed of themselves & sort things out today! It was a complete joke. And dangerous too as nobody there to warn us about the very strong currents if we didn’t know ourselves it’s easy to get into deep trouble. This is a resort that has been abandoned by it’s owners. You should be using COVID times to improve service, maintain your property and innovate but the exact opposite is happening here. It was so bad it’s beyond belief. If only we had read other reviews before. We were going to leave on day 1 but we decided to stay as there were no other guests so we had the island to ourselves & stayed in front of our bungalow & made the best of it. Not one member of the staff ever came to see us or ask if we needed anything anyway. Only one person there worthy of hospitality is Ofan. He should leave & get a job at The Seraya he’d be happier. Go to The Seraya they have everything there for diving, dining, trips & big Smiles all round!

The place is beautiful. The bungalows are right on the beach and super comfortable. It is the closest hotel to Komodo so very convenient to go on day trips and explore the park. I loved my stay at Komodo resort

My friends and I recently returned from the BEST dive trip abroad the Komodo Sea Dragon. I felt so fortunate to be able to go on a liveaboard in Komodo NP right now given the pandemic. We were the only group on the boat and the crew went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable trip. The boat is brand new and beautiful. I loved sitting on the bow, sun deck or comfy couches inside when I wasn’t diving. The itinerary was jam-packed and I’m so glad we did a combo of diving plus land activities. It’s hard to choose a favorite between the pink beach, Padar Island at sunset, and seeing Komodo dragons. The diving was the best 4 days of diving I think I could have asked for! No dive was disappointing. I saw something unique and beautiful every dive and even got to go night diving for the first time. We had a ratio of 2 divers to 1 DM which was perfect as our group was mixed with 2 newbie divers and 2 more experienced divers. Engel, Henke and the dive crew made sure all our gear was ready and in perfect working order for every dive. I know we all felt well taken care of the entire trip. This was my first trip to Komodo, but I know it won’t be my last. I will absolutely return to dive with Komodo Resort again!

We came sailing and stopped at komodo resort to spend new years there. We ended staying way longer. It is such a beautifull place. Great location close to komodo national park and with a fantastic house reef for snorkling and kayak, with turtles and beautifull fish and corals. We went on one of their diving trips to mantaray point nearby. Very good instructors. We saw more than 10 big mantarays. The huts are clean and modern and the restaurant food is delicious. We spend a lot of time with the people working at the resort and they were so sweet and helpful. I will come back another time :-)
