Detailed Reviews
The motel reception wasn’t even manned when we arrived.
We called the number which took us to another motel down the road and we were told he would be there shortly.
We had to wait 45 minutes for the receptionist to return.
Once in the room, we were sorely disappointed. The “freshly updated room” (perhaps 3-4 years ago) was dirty.
The floor appeared clean but under beds were amass with dirt, bits of plastic and a used condom.
The bathroom was no better, pubic hairs all over the floor and the bottom drawer of the vanity was full of dirty past used washers..
I had to rewash all the dirty plates, cups and cutlery before we used them.
Bed sheets were clean & pillows ok. The bed itself was not very comfortable at all.
The real kicker was when we went to find the restaurant… they advertise they have one, it’s actually down the road at another motel.
We tried to access the beach only to be told by a resident that it’s a private beach for those that live there.
Receptionist was actually there on checkout and seemed very disinterested in even taking our key let alone hearing about our issues.
The only reason we didn’t leave was because the reception wasn’t manned when we went to complain and there were no other pet friendly rooms available in the area.

Stayed at Lakeside for a couple of nights and while the room was nice and clean (and had been refurbished to a really good standard) - it was so noisy for both the nights we were there. I know it is not the hotel’s fault for parents who allow their kids to run up and down stairs at all hours of the night, and people who insist on talking loudly as they walk around the hotel car park and into their rooms (again at all hours of the night) - but it makes the whole experience of staying here really unpleasant. Which is a pity because someone has put a fair bit of effort into tidying the place up and making the rooms look good. But the noise was unbearable both nights. Perhaps some better sound proofing is needed? Or maybe some better messaging to their inconsiderate patrons who don’t seem to think about anyone other than themselves.

It’s not a nice place and felt very unsafe, place isn’t like the photos. Dirty rooms, very unkept and weird people drinking. We said we felt it was unsafe to the receptionist and she ran off and charged our room straight away and ignored our concerns.
Do not go there! We are so glad we didn’t stay it felt very unsafe. Smokey rooms, dirty, reception area was filthy with take away containers and a mattress in the middle of the restaurant next to the reception.
Seriously run and don’t book it!

Isolated if you don't have a car ,however it is in a bus route
Clean basic rooms which are large. New glbeds. Very comfortable. Modern bathroom with walkin shower.
No meals. Golf club bar and bistro is about 800 metres away.
There u s a station with snacks ,sandwiches soft drinks and has a limited canned food., hot chickens etc.
On Lake Illawarra.
I pad $130 per night for a 4 night stay.
Get the bus onto Warwick's for pubs.a shopping mall. Medical care ..
Mili-culti staff. Who are hesitant and not very friendly.
OK value for money. Needs vending machine for drinks and snacks as reception and servo close by 6pm

CONS-
Outdated furniture, vanity breaking and old, doors loose and bang in the wind when closed, doors creak/squeak, only cutlery were teaspoons and butter knives, no walking access to beach but lake is right behind it, noisy main road can be difficult to drive into due to traffic. Motel is a long way from anything. Car parks needs to be updated. No meals.
PROS-
Comfortable beds, clean linen, they have tried to modernise the units, easy to find, cheap-you get what you pay for. Wouldn’t stay again

Booked via a website, only found out afterwards that they required a $200 deposit, I haven't had to do this is many years.
Got moved to a Cabin, that was very average and the bathroom was very small and very dirty. It had been 'renovated' but holes had not been painted over after they got patched up.
Broken window in Cabin that had wood panel over it.
WiFi was provided, but didn't work.

Great waterfront view from the cabin - but such a tiny bedroom, I ended up sleeping on the lounge. No coat hangers in the small wardrobe & a mismatched assortment of plate, bowls & glasses (one wine glass, one drinking glass, one plate) despite booking booking for two adults. Anyway, we got away for a quick break - pity it was an accomodation fail lol

Lakeside is affordable and dog friendly. It needs a bit of loving but it is clean and the rooms quite roomy. The bonus for me was that it had a little kitchenette which meant you don't have to fill the kettle in the bathroom. I hate filling kettles from the bathroom! They never fit under the tap.
The other bonus is that there is a gorgeous dog beach very close by.

The toilet was not flushed. The toaster was full of crumbs and the place was falling apart. We had no choice due social commitments to stay one night for $195. We are ashamed that international guests may be exposed to such poor service and amenities. Jenny

We were staying for 1 week 31 Dec 23 to 7 jan 24. In dog friendly standard Queen pet friendly room.Husband & I & 1 small dog. Mouldy tea towel, rusty microwave. No dish cloth or broom. Chewed furniture & door. Toilet brush rusty & broken (shame I didn’t get a photo of it) Bar fridge had no freezer. Nice shower. Big tv. Remote didn’t work properly even changed batteries. Locked back glass door. Couldn’t get outside. Nice view occasionally but had to wash outside glass door to see out. Filthy. Dog poo everywhere. Weren’t aloud to walk far around motel as there were private cabins there too. Nice pool. I took some photos. Staff couldn’t understand you. Hard to explain things. Long grass, gardens unkept. Cigarette butts everywhere. Won’t be going back.
