This was my first time visiting El Salvador. Having been to Cuba over 50 times it was so nice to have a change of scenery. This is an excellent place to relax and forget your troubles for sure. Maria makes the best papusas I have ever had in my life! David is a wonderful host and is extremely accommodating with anything you wish to explore. The room was cozy, clean and very comfortable, some of the best sleeps I've had in years. Puerto La Libertad is just down the road, 25 cents by bus. If you love seafood, this is heaven on earth. I have never seen so much fresh fish/shrimp in my life! Having been a walking ATM in Cuba so often, it was a really nice change to not once be asked for anything, not a penny. Every local that I met was very friendly and not once did I feel threatened, even walking alone. I'm not much of a night club person anymore but there is some nightlife in the port. David will surely take you there on a Fri. or Sat. night to enjoy it if you wish. The taxi ride from the airport (SAL) is about 25 minutes to the Rancho and the roads are in excellent condition. This was best vacation yet and I'm anxious to get back to El Salvador ASAP!

I have nothing but great things to say about Rancho las Brisas. The rooms were clean and rustic, good local food, COLD beer (non fruited-up), with zero snakes. I felt I had experienced life like a local there. David and the staff was very helpful, polite, and friendly. Great location too, laid-back and minutes from the beach. I definitely recommend Rancho Las Brisas to anyone going through El Salvador!

Thanks for taking the time to review Rancho Las Brisas, it was a pleasure having you as a guest. Will check into getting some 'fruited-up' beer for you when you return. Dave
