We stayed here for 2 nights as part of Busabout’s Cappadocia Adventure. We were really nervous after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor so we emailed Busabout requesting a room away from the main bar/club area with air-conditioning and a lock. We also paid the upgrade fee to have an ensuite. Other tour mates were sharing “tree houses” with no air-conditioning in 40+ degree heat, whereas we slept really well.

The tree houses are more log cabins elevated at various heights. They’re very basic – beds, sheets and pillows and (if you book one with an ensuite) bathroom with a toilet, washbasin and shower. When I say shower, there’s no curtain or designated shower area as such, the water just runs from the shower-head into the whole bathroom area. It’s basic, but the overall experience is actually quite fun.

Tip # 1: make sure you get an air-conditioned tree house with an ensuite, lock and (if you value your sleep) located away from the bar/club.

Tip # 2: the remote for the air-conditioner is not in the room; you have to specifically ask for it from reception.

Tip # 3: on arrival we were advised that no towels would be available until the following day, so make sure you pack one (even just your beach towel) to be on the safe side.

At the centre of the complex is the Hangar Bar. Breakfast and dinner (both included in room rate) are served on the bottom level and the top level is the main bar. It’s not enclosed therefore there’s no air-conditioning but it’s a great place to relax and meet fellow travellers.

Breakfast consists of bread rolls, local cheese, tomatoes and eggs. Dinner consists of a range of vegetarian hot dishes (sautéed vegetables etc) and salads and was actually delicious. You queue for dinner then walk along the buffet with a plate as the staff ladle a serving of each item onto your plate – it’s like being back in the school canteen!

Olympos is a bit of a hippy/backpacker spot consisting of one dirt road leading to the ocean with tree-house style properties on either side. Don’t expect fancy hotels or department stores, there are just tree houses, casual restaurants and corner shops. Saying that, it’s STUNNINGLY beautiful and well worth a visit. Kadir’s is one of the furthest properties from the ocean – perhaps 30 minutes’ walk. You pass several other tree house properties and restaurants before reaching the entrance to the Lycian ruins which you have to traverse in order to reach the beach. There is a nominal entrance fee, but it’s well worth it. You walk alongside a wide stream with ancient ruins amongst the woodland on either side, dwarfed by towering mountains. It is truly stunning. At the end, you reach the beach, which is quite pebbly, but still makes for a pleasant couple of hours. The water is clear and cool, and just what you need after hiking through the dust and heat. You can book via Kadir’s to do a number of water sports, too.

I think the key is to remember that it’s basic accommodation aimed at backpackers and adventure-seekers who are there for the experience. If you go with that attitude, then you’ll be fine.

I stayed at Kadır’s this summer and in all honesty it has been the highlight of my stay in Turkey.
I had heard about Kadir’s Tree Houses from some friends from Aus and took the plunge to make the journey from Antalya – I was not disappointed.
Kadir’s ambience is fantastic I arrived just as everyone was heading in to get dinner (this is included in the daily price as well as a great breakfast) I dropped my bags and headed into a buffet of fantastic traditional Turkish cuisine and a beer in the hangar bar, definitely the coolest place in Olympos (they have a massive turbine fan to cool the whole place down)
My dorm was basic but I managed to score one of the ones with an attached bathroom.
I met Kadir on the second night of my stay and he convinced me on coming on his Fishing Trip. It was fantastic as well as hilarious you have never seen someone get as excited as Kadir about fish. It was a lucky night we had schools of small fish swarming towards the boat. I suppose you could interpret as controlling if you are slightly the same yourself, though from my experience with travelling these are the highlights of any country – the people you meet – Kadir just loves fish and he translates this despite language barriers.
There is a regular service bus to the beach with Kadir’s brother in a crazy old bus and the walk is nice, There are no hotels or apartments that are really close to the beach as Olympos is one of Turkeys most amazing national parks and historical sites and thank God it is under protection.
I highly recommend a night out at the Bull bar dancing around the fire and cold beers I met some fellow travelers and got some great tips about the next place in Turkey to go. I stayed for a week as the price is a great relief from the normal tourist trail about 12Euro a night and a huge breakfast and dinner included.
If you are expecting a luxury hotel this is not the place for you, Olympos and Kadir’s are alternative travel destinations and should be treated as such – it’s a let your hair down and get your feet dirty kind of place.
I too didn’t find any shampoo in my bathroom but I didn’t loose sleep over it. Kadir’s is not a 5 star resort and I too got bitten by a mosquito though I am sure she was not a paying guest.

I have not stayed at Kadir but always wanted to take a trip up there,
having worked in the travel tour business previously. (Hence no time ha ha!) I am writing to let you know that there was a Fire at end of
2006 at Kadirs as I read in the local newspaper. Most of his tree houses were destroyed. What springs to mind in this day and age is was this a wealthy land owner who wants to develop the land into something else? Or say Kadir plans to rebuild and make it a nice shiny new complex, then the advantage to you is that you might find a nice clean tree house next time? So dont forget to check out whats available at Olympos. Me, I'm planning a trip up up there in July. I also hope to take in the famous Ballet/opera 'istanbul' concert being
held 4 July at Aspendos theatre, Antalya. See you there then.

Completely wonderful. Arrived on a rainy cold night and we were made to feel at home instantly. Our cabin was heated we had plenty of blankets and we slept uninterrupted for ten hours which is unusual for us. The communal and included dinner (half board) was basic but delicious as was the breakfast and the breakfast eggs from the chickens outside our room. Thoroughly recommended. Special thanks to Sema the charming girl on reception. Although we didn’t do any of the outdoor activities we feel confident that they would be well organised by this establishment.

Terrible staff. I am just in this place . There is two bar inside. When i was dancing with my friends, one of bodyguards keep off me from dance flour and without any explanation kick me off and hit me . I didn’t understand why he act like this. And the rooms are very noisy , you can hear everything from rooms beside you .If you don’t want to be sad and angry in your holidays don’t go there . There is a lot of option instead of this place .

I have been to Olympos too many times and mostly I've chosen Kadir's Tree Houses to stay. Mr Kadir is a good friend, kind and communicative. And all the staff is very helpful, nice and genial. The place is fantastic, you can see various paintings and inspiring quotes everywhere. Great place for chill out after breakfast, and entertainment after dinner:) There are two bars inside it; Hangar Bar is open-air and after its closing, people continue dancing in Bull Bar. You can also sit around the fire near the arbours or dance around the fire inside Bull Bar. You can meet new friends when sitting in arbours or dancing at bar. Good for solo travelers, friends, couples. If you are a family, it would be better to check other guest houses. Walking distance to the beach is approx. 20 minutes and I enjoy walking that road too much. So, I feel good vibes everytime I visit there.

I was stayed in Kadir’s Tree House in 2020, it was good and that’s why i try to stay with my girl friend but it was the worse decision that i took. Because, room which we stayed was very poor and old bed was not comfortable i think needs to change bathroom was smelling… there was no towel. Upon our request they gave us. Should be in the room no any bath amenity, breakfast and diner was very poor. However, they should make renovations….

I had stayed in Kadir’s Tree House for 3 nights in the month of July of 2011 and I have to say it was quite disappointing. I would never recommend this place to anybody however Olympus is quite beautiful area , beach is beautiful and history in the area is quite amazing. In Olympus I had found more comfortable, safer and cheaper places to stay then Kadir’s Tree House during my navigation in the area. Here is why I would not recommend Kadir’s Tree House

1- Night life : Before we made the reservation, we were told there is a disco bar in Kadir’s Tree House however all the fun was until 10 pm. All lights in the resort turned off at 10 pm and you are literally force to go to sleep or maybe take a walk on the Olympus Way where it leads you to the beach. All lights except the light in your room was turned off by staff. We were told that they are turning off all the lights because of some orders received by Olympus Military ???. I was confused if I was in a Military base or a vocation resort
2- Room Conditions : When we were in Kadir’s Tree House, Our sheets got never changed, beds never made and bath towers, hmmm…well there was no tower in the room so you have to bring your own tower or need to buy from a nearby store in overpriced. if you want to take shower bring your shampoo as well. Hot water in the shower was also interesting as hot water was either gradually getting hot or cold, never stayed in same temperature so one of my hand was on the shower knob and other hand on the shampoo trying to adjust water temperate. No housekeeper visited the room during our stay. In the third night of my stay, I had multiple insect bites where I had to get it treated. One of inspect bite was about 4 mm in diameter in my leg which I had no idea what type of insect could do that. It has been tree months and the scar is still there.
3- Distance to Beach : Kadir’s Tree House is the longest distance to the Olympus beach. It is about 30 minutes walk or you have to wait for free shuttle which works twice per day and they are not % accurate. Walking is nice but sometime I am too lazy to walk for 30 minutes and had to wait for shuttle and time to time, I had to wait for hours.
4- Safety : When I was in Kadir’s Tree House, steps to go to tree houses were already cracked and some of them was broken. I was feeling not safe while I was trying to go to my room up to tree and apparently there is not a regular maintenance guy kept in the resort because broken pieces on the steps where still there. I was careful not to step on cracked pieces while I was going up. If someone steps on one of the weak spots by accident, they could fall all the way down and got seriously insured and there is no doctor available in the resort.
5- Privacy : I heard that the Kadir’s Tree House once got flooded and at another time, it burned down. So, they re-build tree houses in an inexpensive way where you can clearly hear guests conversations, laughing, footsteps, even their snores during sleep. If you expect privacy in your room, well don’t expect that in Kadir’s Tree House
6- Fishing Trip : Kadir, himself offers a fishing trip to his guest with $30 per trip and it takes about 6-8 hours. This is where I got to know Kadir better and how he treats his guests. Kadir is a control freak. talks smacks, a fat, old guy. He decides whom you should have chat in the boat and what you should do and what you should not. He even tells you where you should stay in the boat and how you should talk. I understand there should be some regulations in the boat for people’s safety but when it comes to control peoples freedom for simple stuff like talking with people, walking in the boat etc., that is where he should stop. Remember, this was a paid trip. We were total of 8 people in this fishing trip, and I felt about very stressful for entire trip about controlling my behaviors. He was acting crazy and crazy people are not predictable. One of the guest told me that, we should do what he says, otherwise, he might throw us to sea. That was scary so I pretty much shut my mouth, and stay in one location of the boat for entire fishing trip….Many people in the boat got sick and many of us cough one fish or none in so called fishing highly populated fishing area which took 2 hours to get there and 2 hours to come back. Kadir’s Fishing Trip was total waste of time, money and absolutely demoralizing.

BEDBUGS!
We were initially happy with the place, character/food/price, though cleanliness and maintenance was very lacking, but we were fine to overlook. That was until we woke up, to noticed the 50~ BEDBUGS bites. We questioned reception if it was the couches maybe having fleas, or the beds having bugs, and they outright replied, 'It's bedbugs'.
They even went and spraycan-fumigated our room, while our friend was in her bed, and never said a word! (this brought out dead bugs, and spiders)

Bathrooms smell, had no light, barely any hotwater, 6-7TL for beers... got sucked in by the gimmick, and regret it.

I'm sorry to say it, but we did not like this place at all. I have travelled extensively – including third world countries - and this is the worst accommodation I have experienced. The room itself was fairly spacious and reasonably clean - BUT the electricity blacked out about every 10 minutes for an hour or two. We were on an upper level and the staircase and the walkway looked as if they had been thrown together by dodgy builders from old packing cases and tree branches. There was no light over the stairs! The wooden buildings are so closely packed, it is a real fire hazard. We were stuck there for a whole day, but had to leave our room in the morning. Before leaving in the evening, I had a shower in the ablutions block for the dormitory accommodation. There were three showers – one had no rose and there were no lights over the showers. Food was basic, healthy and plentiful – but no real choice. There is lots of room to lounge around and relax - but the bars become nightclubs with unacceptably loud music until midnight in one of them and until 0400 am in the other. No such thing as a quiet night! I guess it could appeal to younger folk, but not to us more mature ones or to anyone just wanting a quiet, relaxing break. I had started to pack to leave the place within a couple of hours of arriving – and would have done so had we known of any other accommodation available. We complained to our tour leader – and she did organise a partial refund for us.
