We had a great diving trip to Gangga! The whole dive team were excellent and they also arranged an instructor for my wife to complete her Padi Advanced certification. As well as local dives off Bangka Island we also did day trips on the boat to Lembeh for muck diving and to Bunaken where we dived with massive green turtles. The guide ratio was never more than two guests to one guide and the boat crew were super-attentive.

Our bungalow in the resort was really nice with a great four-poster bed and a large clean bathroom, right on the beach. We had couples massages in the spa to relax after diving and they were really good, and great value. I am vegetarian and they made me something special each night, and my wife enjoyed the fish options. There wasn’t a great choice of food, but this was understandable as there were only a few guests due to the season.

Overall we had a wonderful dive holiday. Thanks so much for the great trip!

My husband and I spent our covid quarantine for 8 days in January, 2022 at Gangga. We had an excellent experience.

The bungalow was beautiful, comfortable and clean. We were asked to stay in our bungalow during quarantine. The masked & gloved staff would bring 3 meals a day to our bungalow, where we ate on the porch. Clean linens were delivered per our request.

When our quarantine period was over and we tested negative, we were able to use the beautiful pool area and beach. We extended our stay to do some scuba diving and it was FANTASTIC.

The food was top quality. The breakfast croissants are highly recommended.

A special thank you to the manager, Chris, who personally helped us with some issues we encountered with government regulations and the
airline.

We had an amazing time in this resort.
It is relatively big, it was very few guests so we really had the feeling of being on our own private island, on the opposite hand we had some disadvantages, I guess due to this very low occupancy, for example, we had to choose after the dinner what we wanted for breakfast the following day, the choices were not too big for us that don’t have sugar in our diet also for the lunch and dinner only were two choices. Anyway we managed and it was compensated by the kindness of the staff which was super welcoming. They will do everything they can to make your stay unforgettable.
The resort area are kept quite clean by the resort’s staff who are constantly working to keep the sand clean from leaves but not from plastic (unfortunately plastics is still quite an issue in this part of Indonesia). I think they should definitely clean up the beach and the house reef. I understand that the resort is not producing the rubbish laying in the reef but brought by the strong tidal currents. This should however be no excuse for not cleaning it up more frequently at least some rubbish that were so evident to the view (clothes with strong colors just besides the dock).
Regarding the snorkelling sites we visit, they were super nice and we enjoyed a lot. After visiting other places like Komodo and Raja Ampat I have to say that the snorkeling guides were not the most interactive we have ever had, they let us do and they just took care of us and let us know when we have to leave, and almost everything we saw was on our own, anyway we are experienced so don't care this too much.

Highly recommended. Lovely resort on the small island of Gangga. Wonderful staff and chef Simon’s cooking is excellent (important as it is all inclusive).
Easy 1 hour car ride from Manado airport followed by 20 minute boat ride (all arranged by the resort).
My wife and daughter dived and were entranced by the fabulous underwater reef life both near Gangga Island and off Bunaken. My daughter did her PADI certification at the resort.
Rooms are very comfortable and fully AC’d, etc.

Great hotel and quiet place, great people and perfect service. I m still asking myself what more could be done for us and still don t find. We loved everything, from the welcome song at the harbor, the nice pool, beautiful beach, good food made by professional, smily and full of attention cook, super helpful and so kind young manager on duty, and so much more.
A special thank you for organizing perfectly on short notice a 4.00 am trip first by boat and then by taxi to the airport due to our flight cancellation.

We had a lovely stay at Gangga island resort, Lotus hotels. The staff and management are attentive, helpful, friendly and professional. Everything is well thought off, starting from pick up from the airport with friendly driver, good vehicle and cold drinking water.

The bungalows are nice, and have a little rustic feeling. Aircon was working perfectly. The premises were kept very clean.

Food was good, with several options for lunch and dinner to choose from. There was always fish, meat and vegetarian options available. The staff at the restaurant was extremely friendly and quick to top up our water glasses.

We also used the spa several times. The spa is very nice and had several different treatments to choose from.

Diving and snorkeling were well organized. Special thanks to snorkeling guide Muksin, who was great in finding underwater creatures. I saw several manti shrimp, sting rays, scorpion fish and a sea snake that Muksin spotted. He also took good care in sometimes a bit challenging conditions swimming through strong waves / currents. Diving was also good although visibility is not the best in December due to the rains.

This was our second visit to Lotus hotels. Before Gangga island we had stayed at Papua Paradise Eco resort. We can definitely recommend Lotus hotels, both resorts have been great.

Had an absolutely fantastic time at Gangga. Beautiful resort, great staff, delicious food. My partner dives; I don't. This wasn't a problem at all. On the days he went off to dive, I relaxed on the beach/by the pool/in the spa. I also really enjoyed the Highland Tour - wonderful guide, and a really interesting day.
Our bungalow was really well equipped and comfortable. The veranda was a useful place to shelter from the couple of storms we had, whilst allowing us to enjoy the drama of the weather!
The Spa was wonderful. I had three treatments; all were fabulous (and a massive improvement on the one I had in Manado which left me bruised!)
All in all, we had a perfect stay - and will certainly return!
Thank you to everyone for making our time at Gangga so special!

My stay at Gangga Island Resort & Spa was a spectacular part of my Indonesian dive vacation in North Saluwasi. The resorts staff and dive staff were extremely friendly, helpful and very organized. They took great care in making sure your dive vacation was memorable, from the food to the dives to the hotel transfers. The lodging was very comfortable and the resort is nicely set up and maintained. I would highly recommend staying and diving at Gangga Island Resort & Spa to anyone wanting to see the amazing critters and marine environment.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short long weekend trip from Singapore at Gangga resort. Pristine beaches, first class service and all comforts provided. The accommodation is good, aircon works well.
The service is superb. All staff are friendly, helpful and address you personally by name.
Elizabeth, manager of front office stands out. We assigned her the new job title of Princess of possibilities. Her enthousiasm, energy and ensure all our asks were taken care off stand out! The welcome on the pier really made us feel like special guests.
And then the diving, the diving is superb. The crew and facilities very good too. We enjoyed every dive, had different dive sites every day and really enjoyed to have the same dive master during our stay.
Oh and did I mention the amazing food? We had a full board and thoroughly enjoyed the 4 course meals offered for lunch and dinner. Good choice between both Indonesian and western food.

A long anticipated diving holiday originally booked pre covid, finally enjoyed! Swimming alongside giant turtles will be remembered fondly forever. Magical underwater world with abundant varieties of sea life, fish and coral to begin with. Resort staff all delightfully friendly, approachable, helpful. Very quiet. Pool divine, especially at sunset! Rooms lovely, aircon struggles a little on generators but still a relief from outside at times! Food amazing considering isolation and conditions. Fruit always delicious, fish/veggies fresh. Mozzies got me though..so pack good DEET and Soove😝
