Detailed Reviews
My partner and I stayed at Diamond Beach Resort for only one night and we wish it was longer! Such an incredible location - you can lay in bed and hear the waves crashing on the beach. In the morning, we made a coffee and took our mugs to the beach and watched the pod of dolphins (which apparently is a daily occurrence!).
The property is a bit dated but we found it beautifully clean and had everything we needed in regards to kitchen utensils and pots, etc.
The owner Sharyn is so lovely and her beautiful two golden retrievers were incredibly placid and calmly welcoming.
Overall, we would absolutely recommend Diamond Beach Resort for couples or families who would like a tech-free beachside getaway - it’s an absolute haven! Thanks Sharyn for your hospitality and definitely see you again for a longer stay and to use that outdoor pizza oven and the pool very soon!

Older style resort , we think built about 80's. No staff at reception but 'call us if unattended' notice (mid-afternoon), which we did and the lady came within a few minutes. Then to the unit, this is the only accommodation I can recall in many years of travelling, that does not have air-conditioning in the room, only overhead fans, and coupled with a very hot humid night was , unfortunatley, rather uncomfortable. The other issue we had was when we returned to our unit about 9.30 pm ,put the TV on , after about 5 - 10 mins, the TV died. The antennae had fallen out of the wall previously and had been jury rigged to shove it back in the wall. I could not fix that night, and I felt too late at night to disturb owners, but was able to get it going again in the morning, by again , jury rigging it. Then on checking out, about 8.30 am , reception again unattended, and no option to leave key card anywhere, again I had to look for staff, found the lady cleaning a unit. When I said I tried ringing again but had no answer "I was vacuuming" was the response. Place is nice enough, clean enough, grounds and outside areas well presented, kitchen area in unit well presented, and good for families, and this was a quite time of year so no noise and very dark at night, We just felt the room needs to modernised a bit,

My family and three other families stayed at the Diamond Beach Resort for a week in Jan 2021. It is a wonderful place to stay. The beach is on your door step (50 metre walk). Then you have 3kms of beach to yourself basically to swim, surf, walk, build sand castles, go on adventures with the kids.
Back in the accommodation, we stayed in the 2 bedroom units. Everything you need is there, microwave, cooktop, kettle, toaster, fridge, all your utensils, TV, wifi, etc. On-site there’s a bbq area with hot plates and pizza oven. There’s a tennis court, volleyball court, hammocks, great outdoor seating area, a common room. It has a large pool to enjoy. The whole place has everything you need to allow you and the kids to just unwind, chill out and connect. It isn’t flashy, with high end fittings trying to be pretentious. This place is where you arrive, enjoy all the facilities, connect with the surroundings, connect with your family and just slow down. Sharon who owns and runs the place with her team are there when you need them.
We went up together as four families and stayed in adjacent units. The kids moving from one to another and just having a great time. In the area of Diamond Beach you have the Halliday Point tavern a 5 minute drive away or book their courtesy bus. There’s Black Head bowling club about 7 minutes away. You’re only 20 minutes from Forster in a great little part of the mid north coast.
I couldn’t recommend this place more highly for that true Australian beach holiday at any time of the year.

Stayed here for a few days while helping out during the recovery from the floods. The owner was so accommodating and friendly to my group. Even seeking help from her friends to ensure we had what we needed to do our work, including fresh clothes in the morning.
It’s a comfortable place with many areas to explore and relax, and the beach views are great.
Best part is the dogs! They are so cute!

We tried to book here during torrential rain and whilst we called at 11:30pm and were unable to get through we moved on and kept travelling. The next day we received a call at midday in regards to our query. We said “all good, we tried booking last night as we needed a place to stop during torrential rain and just tried to check if you had an availability. But it’s ok, we won’t need accommodation.” This was given with the response “well you called at 11:30 and I’m asleep”. Your website does not have opening and closing hours. So please if you have an issue with people calling outside work hours be upfront on website

We had an amazing time there with a group of 8 people and would like to thank the host for the great welcome in a perfect location. The resort has everything we needed. We will definitely come back to surf, play tennis, have barbecues and ping pong. I definitely recommend and thank you again !

Sharyn is a very accommodating Manager/Owner of the resort where we held my wife's 50th Birthday. We had 6 units together which allowed us to easily mingle and relax.
The kids had a great time in the pool and enjoyed the slide. There were also hammocks set up down the back which made for a great place for them to chill and enjoy the outdoors.
The Pizza Ovens made for a nice easy self made meal on our first night and everyone enjoyed them.
We had access to a large covered area with benches and lounges to have the party which was a huge success.
I would certainly recommend the resort to anyone wanting a quiet break of a place to hold a larger gathering.

We booked in to Diamond Beach as a last minute whim on a rainy weekend. The apartments are well appointed and very clean. A few steps down to the beach on one side and out the back a tropical garden oasis with pool, tennis court, gorgeous gardens, BBQs and pizza ovens to use. Sharyn was so welcoming and just wonderful. This place is a well kept secret that is not priced out of reach for normal people just wanting a good little get away. I would highly recommend and will definitely be back soon!

+1
We’d been travelling down the coast and heard of this hidden gem called Diamond Beach so we booked here. Wow; what a wonderful experience! Located on a quiet pristine beach, this resort offers everything. We were greeted by the delightful Sharyn who provides a smile the size of the pool and she made sure our stay was exactly as we wanted it. With wildlife (friendly) roaming the grounds its is a perfect place to chill and enjoy the spectacular location. We’ll be back!

Hi Jasmine. No wifi at the resort, but we accessed free wifi at the Hallidays Point Library which is only about 4kms away, in the little shopping centre on the road to Black Head. We were able to access it from the courtyard outside the library even when the library was closed .... Cafes and bakery nearby so we enjoyed a cuppa while checking our iPad each day.
Hi guys,
We welcome friendly & sociable dogs in all spartments by prior arrangement only. We do not allow them on any furniture or to be keft unattended in the apartments. Tge beautiful beach at our doorstep is also pet friendly.

Warm regards

Diamond Beach Resort 😊
Hi Charles and thanks for your interest in Diamond Beach Resort, a small boutique style resort with only 14 apartments. We are located directly on the beach so no roads between you and the sand! Our apartments are all fully self contained and open up to 6 acres of tropical gardens, BBQ area with Pizza Oven, swimming pool, tennis court, volley ball and table tennis pavilion. My partner and I purchased the property in 2012 and undertook a renovation and refurbishment. There is no air conditioning in the apartments however we do have portable units if required.
Warm Regards
Sharyn & Gabe :)
