Detailed Reviews
Reception on arrival was efficient with the usual requirements being established and a required booking for a taxi being arranged for the following day. An enquiry regarding public transport was very appreciably helped with.
The room contained a good guest compendium, which was able to provide much of the information desired, including local places for eating (which turned out to be a little outdated).
The room was large but clearly “tired” and dated, with noticeable areas in need of attention. Nevertheless, there was ample bench space and a table and chairs allowing for workspace. The room also contained a large comfortable bed, although pillows were in noticeably short supply. Particularly if desired to sit up in bed to watch television.
The bathroom was large and functional, with a shower that took some adjustment to attain a reasonable water temperature.
Location is out of the way for most major shopping centres, however excellent for an overnight stay before departing for the airport. Especially if you have an early morning flight.

Booked in over the phone , that went well, managers / owners easy to get along with.
It's an older style motel but suits its purpose , close to all shops and only 10 minutes to the airport. The shower was fine, and the mattress was uncomfortable . You're also under the airport flight pass, so hopefully, you aren't a light sleeper.

Easy check in. Room very clean. No traffic noise even though it is close to a main road. Picked this property because it is just a 10 minute drive to Melbourne airport. Also very close to take away food outlets and a hotel for food.

+1
Looked old but had what we needed. The old air-conditioner no longer functioning and the new one was rather small. Moreover it was located far from the main bed. See photos. Fortunately we were there in spring, not winter, so it was bearable.

Have stayed here a few times whilst on business in the area. The owners are very friendly and live on site. The rooms have always been clean and bed comfortable. The addition of a few channels of cable tv is welcome. The bathrooms are dated but clean and water pressure in the shower is excellent. I believe the price paid is good value considering proximity to the airport.

booked into this motel for a night as we had a family get together close by. we had also planned on using the motel on a weekly visit to family over the next 6 weeks. definitely not! was booked as a recently renovated deluxe queen room. well it may have had a bit of paint splashed about, and perhaps the bedspreads had been changed. but!
even the door of the unit had paint scratched off around the key, the cornices in the bedroom had flaking paint, the basin in the bathroom was chipped, and showed crazing from age. whole place was shabby and not too clean. even the attitude on arrival was less than welcoming, pretty much pay us and here's you key.
never again

3.5 stars is what you get. Accurate for the dated, basic but clean room we had. Bed was ok, shower was great and location was quiet. We stayed here the night of a wedding we attended at Overnewton Castle. If in the area, I would stay again as there aren't really other options close-by.

Stayed at Keilor Motor Inn for two nights. The location is great with the hotel over the road and the village cafes a short stroll away. Another plus is been very close to Melbourne airport and the freeway to the city and quiet.
The room are a bit dated however very clean, another plus is been able to park in front of your room.
My only complaint is the poor quality toilet tissue.
For reasonable priced accommodation close to Melbourne airport the Keilor Motor Inn ticks boxes.

The Keilor Motor Inn is just 10 minutes away from Melbourne airport and a great place for a stopover, either on the way to the airport or like us, after a gruelling 19 hours in the air. We were late due to problems with retrieving our luggage and getting our hire car, so at about 11:30pm we were very grateful for the cheery welcome and the inviting room, which was comfortable and well-equipped. The shower cubicle was large and the bathroom clean, although slightly dated. There were plenty of power points for recharging our phones, etc., and the very welcome wi-fi worked well. Our room had a queen-sized double which was very comfortable, plus a single bed – so room for another family member if needed. All in all, highly recommended. Breakfast is not included, but a top tip: across the road, the Dolce Café serves up some really delicious breakfast dishes at very reasonable prices.

Clean, comfortable room and close to airport which is why we chose it. Have stayed here several times before and never been disappointed. Handy to petrol stations and car wash to return the hire car. Walk across the road for a huge meal at the Irish pub. Will always come back.

Fine to pay cash but a valid credit card must be presented at check in for security and incidental expenses.
Thanks Mel
