Welcome to Etty Bay Caravan Park & Cabins #WhereTheCassowariesRoam A hidden gem in Queensland Tropical North, this magical cove is unique destination to relax and rejuvenate. Etty Bay Caravan Park & Cabins has absolute beach frontage. Cassowaries roam freely throughout the park and along the beachfront. Choose from a range of cabins, camping and caravan sites with powered and unpowered options available. The coastal town of Etty Bay is located near Innisfail on the edge of the Great Barrier Reef, an hour and a half south of Cairns and a few hours north of Townsville. Facilities on site are simple but clean and include BBQ's, laundry, shower and toilet amenities and Free WIFI. There is a simple store, fish and chip shop and small playground alongside. Please be aware, there is limited phone and television reception due to the surrounding Moresby Range. Some sites may also have a gentle slope due to our position at the base of the Range.

Great Little caravan park, the beach is on your door step with a stinger net. Saw a couple of cassowaries which the kids loved. Limited phone reception but was nice to switch off and just relax would definitely come back.

With no tv and phone was very disappointed as being in our 70s this is our main entertainment not being able to ring other family members because of no reception was bad this park needs to be upgraded .installing satellite dish would help, and a discount on cost if things not working.

Beautiful bay, worth the visit. Arrived late to regretted with friendly, helpful staff. We stayed in a cabin, it was clean, spacious and contained everything you could need for your stay. Wish we stayed longer.

What a great spot! A beautiful bay, Nice Beach and a small park. Unfortunately the weather was very bad so we couldn’t do much. We hope to come back once in the sun! Very nice staff! Rebecca was so much fun!

We were only in the caravan park for a few days. The site was a good size, the view to the beach was excellent. The amenities, while an old looking building, were modern inside and looked newly renovated. The beach is safe for swimming and was patrolled on the Sunday. A great spot to relax and enjoy the simple things in life.

The beach is perfect. The room was great with a well supplied kitchen. We enjoyed being able to make coffee and the coffee supplied was good. We came for the cassowaries, but it took a bit of work driving up and down the road accessing the facility. But, we got them! For some, it just happens, but if not, don't give up. They are around and do travel the road, so be persistent.

Etty is a favourite place because it is so beautiful and tranquil. We love wlking along the beach. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Even though it rained while we were there we made the most of the sunny moments and also met some lovely people. Unfortunately the Cassowary was not around but i did site a very rare male specimen in the trees. There is a great Bakery not very far. I highly recommend Etty.

We always love coming to Etty Bay, you will the find one of the best sunrises here. We stayed in the couples cabin for a night and can’t find any faults, it is such a unique space. We loved having our own bathroom and cooking area, really nice mini holiday. Friendly staff as well, we will definitely be coming back, thanks for having us!

We really enjoyed our stay here ! Especially with the presence of cassowaries. Just in front of the beach where you can swim safely. Rooms were cleaned and well equipped. Be aware of ants in that area. Don’t store any food outside the fridge or cupboards.

We booked a cabin at the park The television couldn’t receive reception The wifi albeit working was extremely slow and limited to low demand items There was no phone reception and the room was extremely small ( no room for suitcase ) or a chair

Hi Bruce, we're sorry you weren't able to get a connection. We do make it clear on the website that both phone and television reception can be limited due to our location at the base of the range and that the wifi is generally limited to surrounding the reception area - particularly in poor weather. We do supply chromecasts to each of the cabins along with instructions so that you can cast to the TV. There is also a free payphone located at Etty Bay should you need to make calls. Happy travels.
