Did not enjoy our stay unfortunately. Great location, right near the beach and with cassowaries walking around, but otherwise the whole park was in need of attention. The entire section behind the amenities block was very soggy with a permanent stream running through the sites which looked to be coming from a broken pipe or damage to the water system rather than from rain. We were sent to a site that was too small for our rig, which had a large concrete bollard in it. Had to request a different site and asked for the only site that appeared level and somewhat dry in this section but were given a soggy one next to it instead which had a power line cable running across the front of it we had to be careful not to hit. We then watched another 2 lots of campers be sent into the wet and soggy section before they too went back to reception to request a different site. The amenities blocks needed a fair bit of attention also. Needed a good clean and a freshen up. No toilet paper on the first day. Only one shelf in the entire block, next to one of the sinks. Only one shower had anything to put your shampoo/conditioner on and it was cracked so it wouldn't hold the weight. Very tired looking building overall. Only one hand soap for all three basins. Shower cubicles had only a shower curtain and one hook, no shelf so it was difficult to keep items dry while showering. The views from the park and the wildlife were great, however would not recommend camping here especially in any of the very small and awkward non-powered sites. Maybe the cabins are nicer.

Friendly helpfull staff, great location directly opposite the beach, facilities need a lot of work. Cassowaries walk through. Easy driving to service centre for supplies. Have to share your piece of paradise with numerous day tourists.

We stayed two nights in a very clean cabin which provided all the necessities .Even though there were quite a few campers (it was school holidays) we had a view of the sea. A delightfully relaxing place to stay. Etty Bay very much has a family fell. The cassowaries added interest! A delightful weekend.

We arrived late afternoon and were immediately greeted with an incredible sighting of a cassowary wandering through the camp site. Check in was easy and we headed to our shipping container accommodation. It was designed really well and there was enough space for two people easily. Bathroom also included inside. One negative was there weren’t fly screens attached yet and there were plenty of mosquitos. But with doors shut the air con worked well and the bed was comfortable. Over all, the caravan park had a friendly and relaxed vibe about it with the private beach and guaranteed cassowary sightings a highlight of this stunning place. We will visit again!

Great spot! We had an unpowered site which was all of 2m from the beach. Beach is lovley, stinger nets for swimming and long stretch for a morning walk. Amenities are all you need, showers toilets cooking etc. Staff were very warm and welcoming, highly recommend.
