We stayed 3 nights in a studio apartment. The studio was equipped with all we needed to enjoy our stay. There was a small kitchenette with a microwave & kettle; large flat screen tv, dining table, ensuite bathroom as well as laundry facilities to be shared with the studio upstairs. There is a lovely outdoor pool area which would be very popular during warmer months. The resort is well situated with a bus stop out the front. Weekend transport is free locally which was great for us as we stayed over the weekend. The resort is 30 minutes from the famous Eumundi market and there are also multiple restaurants & bars to choose from. I’d avoid the bowls club if you value your hearing. The RSL is just over the bridge and is good value for money. Overall we found the resort value for money. We did however find a lot of noise filtered through from the upstairs studio. At one point I woke up thinking there were someone in our room it was that loud. We also experienced what felt like an earth tremor but are unsure if there was seismic activity or if this related to activity in the adjoining studio. The kettle also turned on by itself and we needed more coffee sachets that what the resort provide.

We had an upstairs unit with a nice balcony overlooking the attractive pool area, which is three pools aligned through the middle of the property. A parking bay right beside the entrance at the bottom of the stairs made arrival/departure quick and easy. The one-bedroom apartment was clean and comfortable, not massive but provided sufficient space for the boys to sleep on the foldout lounge and a mattress in the living room.
Apart from the nearby marina, there is not a great deal within walking distance so you are needing the car to get to the beach and other attractions.

The price was not bad for budget level accommodation. The place could do with some maintenance being done to tidy some of the ageing finishes. It Is a 30min walk to the shops although there is a ferry that departs from a nearby jetty. The management claim there is visitor parking for guests but this seems to be mostly used by the more permanent residents. There are pools but have not seen them used by many guests or residents. In an unserviced room there are no spare rubbish bags nor simple facilities like a toaster. Overall below expectations, I think you could get better options closer to the shopping strips and attractions.

We stayed here 12 years ago and remembered it fondly. So we booked for 10 nights and returned with high hopes
Never again
Things started going bad on our arrival and never got better. We had booked and paid a deposit to their booking agent StayNoosa. We had followed the instructions given by StayNoosa. The Receptionist complained that we should have paid the full amount even though StayNoosa clearly stated balance payable on arrival
Receptionist seemed to be saying we would have to go to a StayNoosa office to pay the balance. Then she decided we could pay her the balance
Receptionist claimed she had for three days been sending us emails demanding payment of the balance. Simply not true. No old emails waiting for us. Suggestion to Management...."If you have a problem with your booking agent, best to sort it out and not antagonise guests"
We requested an upstairs unit so they gave us a downstairs unit
Unit was tired, dirty, delapidated and broken. Curtains smelled, holes in the arm of the sofa, bedding was stinky, fridge door was busted, fire alarm kept going off, tumble dryer did not dry
And the wifi did not work. We went back to reception for four consecutive days seeking guidance or a fix. No improvement. It was completely useless. The situation was not helped by the Receptionist suggesting:
1. We were stupid
2. Our equipment was no good (new octocore Pocophone, new Samsung android tablet, iPhone and iPad)
3. We use the cellular web access on our phones
In the end we simply gave up. It is unacceptable for there to be no internet access and it was not just us. We spoke with a couple of neighbours. They were also getting no wifi access
Life without access to email, Skype, web news, weather forecasts, route planning, restaurant research and bookings is unacceptable
We departed the resort early and did not even request a refund. We did not wish to expose ourselves to more sly sarcasm from the receptionist
Even at the $105 per night we paid this place was rotten value
Never again

Response from Noosalakes, Manager at Noosa Lakes Resort
Responded 30 Mar 2020
Dear Chris B Our sincere apologies that your stay did not meet your expectations as it did 12 years ago. Please allow us to offer an explanation to the issues that unfortunately caused you so much grief. Noosa Lakes Resort can be booked through the Stay Noosa Website online booking system. All payments are to be made through this booking system. An initial deposit is requested, this is done through a gateway payment system using your credit card. The balance is due the day of arrival and this is done through the same gateway payment system on the booking site. We are unable to accept payment at the resort for reservations made through The Stay Noosa Website. We receive payment at the end of each month from Stay Noosa for all reservations made with them. We can however go onto the site and make the payment on your behalf if needed through the gateway payment using your stored credit card. Your frustration with this was very evident so we did our best to assist. At no stage did our receptionist demand payment from you we were simply trying to help. The accommodation you booked was a Studio room. Our Studio rooms are all on the ground floor. So even though you may have requested an upstairs unit it was physically impossible to give you one. You have made it sound like we did it on purpose. You were offered to change to an upstairs unit at an additional cost as they are more expensive however you declined. This is the first time we have been made aware of all the issues you had with the unit. Had we have known that the unit was not up to your standard we would have tried to assist you. During your stay you had issues with the Wifi. Again, we tried our best to help with this. Our Wifi technician even went to the unit and tested the connection and he could find no fault. At no stage did anyone at reception suggest you were stupid. We were only trying to help and offer some solutions for you. We can appreciate that this was causing you a lot of frustration, but it did not help that each time you entered reception you were extremely rude to the staff. Your demeanour and facial expressions were constantly hostile towards us. We wish you all the best in your future travels.

We have stayed here at least 7 times over the last few years, stayed in both the studio downstairs and the upstairs 1 bedroom. Obviously no major complaint. I recall once we had a unit with dodgy internet but usually very good to excellent. I read with some amusement comments about the decor being dated??? What on earth are these critics on about? Would they like to the see the place upgraded each year to satisfy their own unique tastes???
The one thing I would suggest that management could do better at is to equip the kitchens with either more or better set of pots, pans utensils - adequate as it is, but needs to better for a longer stay. At least these days the reception is more accommodating when it comes to requests for more wash powder for the dishwasher and laundry - once upon a time you would get the bare minimum and then have to pay for a couple more sachets.
People have said "you get what you pay for" and this is true. The resort is in a very convenient location but not in the heart of Noosa so at around $160 a night for return travellers in school holidays it is quite reasonable, not exactly budget but hard to find anything comparable at a better price.
We have now bought a house on the SC so not sure if we will be back again but if we need shorter term accommodation waiting for our house to be vacated, we will not hesitate to stay here one last time.

Stayed at Noosa Lakes recently with a friend. We'd booked a one bedroom apartment, plus sofa bed (we're not a couple) through a third party, but due to a small misunderstanding, my friend ended up sleeping the first two nights on a very small sofa which she found quite uncomfortable. After enquiring at Reception, they informed us that if we'd booked directly through them, they'd probably have requested additional information, sorting our bedding arrangements before arrival. They kindly set up a foldout in the room for our third and final night, alas, it too was rather uncomfortable. Overall, the apartment was quite a descent size, the kitchen was well equipped, the bathroom's modern décor was pleasant and the bedroom quite roomy with an adjoining balcony. Everything was exceptionally tidy and spotlessly clean. If I had to critique anything at all, it would probably be the over abundance of space. An additional sofa would have provided some extra space to relax and we found there was a need for additional bench space, handy for placing personal items and essentials. A couple of canvas prints adorning the walls, would have beautifully promoted the surrounding landscape, adding a real beachside Resort vibe. The 3 pools centrally located within the Resort are quite stunning and are made even more picturesque by the colourful two story apartments that overlook them. The Resort is ideally located and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I was very disappointed in my stay here. I am not generally fussy with accommodation, but as soon as I walked into my room it smelt there were stains all on the carpet and it had an overall dirty feeling. I also particularly picked this accomodation as it was said to have free wifi. The wifi wouldn’t work and I had a lady at reception said it wasn’t working cause they were so busy, I then called the next day and again they seemed very dis interested and said they would call me back and I never heard a thing! The rooms are also very thin walled and if someone is above you, you can hear every sound they make! I do not suggest anyone to stay here!

Disappointing. We were looking for a last minute stay whilst in the Noosa area. We were given a ground floor ‘lake view’ room (which attracted a higher price). Unfortunately, I can’t post a photo of the alleged lake view as any signs of water could only vaguely seen through the trees. The soundproofing is non existent as the herd of elephants in the room above did everything except trumpet loudly. The washer/dryer that is shared between the two apartments was capitalised the whole time by said herd. Cleanliness was not to a suitable standard. Best avoided.

We are sorry to hear your stay with us did not meet your expectations. Our Lake side studio apartments are on the lakeside of the Resort and have their own allocated car parking space. We do not have "lake view" rooms. At this time of year we do have many families staying with children and at times, yes they can be noisy as they are excited to be on holidays.

After spending the last 50+ years on the road as a commercial traveller this was one of the worst establishments that I have had the misfortune to stay at.
We booked a Studio Room with kitchenette but alas it didn't have a Microwave or toaster.
The room was dirty and unkept, and they even had the gaul to demand that you washed your own dishes and emptied the rubbish our you could be charged for cleaning.
Parking was a joke as you couldn't you the space infant of your unit as that was reserved for a permanent resident, whom by the way was upstairs and insisted on stomping around all night opening the patio door and then slamming it closed, this occured about every ten minutes until at least 3:00am. The same person even feed the native birds and pigeons on their patio which stopped you from using yours as all the bread crumbs fell through the gaps into your drinks and nibbles.
Would have to be the worst two night I have ever spent in rental accomodation, even had the cheek to ask for my credit card on arrival even when the stay was pre-paid.
Also the batteries in the Air Con remote where flat so couldn't use that first night as the office was closed.

We stayed for 2 nights in a ground floor studio unit near the paddling pool. The unit received no sun and the floor tiles were the coldest that we have ever experienced. We needed to wear shoes and have the heat pump on heating to keep the room warm. A kettle and microwave were the only facilities for preparing hot food. Bed was comfortable. Wifi was good.
The shared laundry with a dryer was near our entrance and worked well. Thankfully the permanent resident didn’t make too much noise or use the laundry outside the requested hours of 8am to 8pm.
Residents of the ground floor studio units have to use the limited number of visitor parks as the one park closest to the door is reserved for the one bedroom apartment on the 1st floor.
