We stayed in a second story three bedroom apartment ,it was equipt with everything even kids games and cards .
The rooms were spacious ,master bedroom with on suite overlooking the grounds and a twinkle of the sea .The living area had the same views.
Each unit privately owned so the furnishings would be different .
Our were little tired but comfy and fine ,It depends on what you are expecting .
The only down side is that Surfside is divided in three only one section has a lift and it is a little quite scary lift that can break down with too much movement.We used it .
We loved our stay and would recommend

We stayed for 8 days and really enjoyed our stay. We are a large family and the apartment was able to accommodate us all, and best of all we weren't tripping all over each other, there was loads of space. The apartment had all the amenities we needed and the kids loved the beach and the pool. The apartment was close to the shopping centre and Lake Kawana. If I'm ever in the Sunshine Coast I will stay here!!

Six of us rented the penthouse (N25) at Surfside for the period 15 - 22 December 2016. The place had three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a laundry, fully equipped kitchen, spacious lounge/dining area and magnificent direct ocean views. The bonus came when we went upstairs to the top viewing level which contained a barbecue, a huge spa and had stunning views over the ocean to the east with equally beautiful views to the Glasshouse Mountains to the west. We were treated to incredible sunrise and sunset views. The ever-present ocean breezes meant that we didn't even have to use the aircon. The location was surprisingly quiet given the time of our stay. Despite the quiet amenity of this location you are close to everything e.g. Clubs, restaurants, shopping, great beaches etc. etc. Given our visit occurred during the peak season, the tariff was relatively expensive. Was it worth the money? Absolutely! Would we stay there again? In a heartbeat. There were some minor maintenance issues but these were promptly addressed by Rob who lives onsite. Charmaine at reception was also particularly courteous and helpful. We look forward to a return trip.

It is lovely to go up to your private rooftop and have your own spa and bbq and loads of seating and great views from up there. The private rooftops are worth the few extra dollars to have the extra space and to be able to take in the great views. It's a great holiday destination for families. We hope to see you again soon.

The direct booking process was very easy considering I had a special request for lift access. The property is located right on the beach. The pool was also good. Unfortunately the tiled floors which appeared clean were actually very unclean. It took me several sessions of mopping to no longer have brown ‘soup’ water. Not what I expected to have to do on our week’s break there. The thumping of the base of the music of permanent neighbours next door was also very unpleasant. The sound carried out into the lift foyer and through the lounge walls & front door. The supposed free WiFi did not work at all.

After my stay there in July as part of a family group I would not recommend this property. Unit was dirty so bad your shoes stuck to the kitchen floor, chipped crockery and glasses, microwave and aircon didn't work. No wifi unless you stood outside a locked cupboard in the hallway. Manager was extremely rude and accused us of bullying when we pointed out the problems with the unit.

The rooftop apartment was a disappointment. It was not clean, chipped crockery, microwave did not work on microwave. Floor in kitchen as well as toilets was unclean. WiFi did not work in living area. Would not recommend it.

Wanted to get away for a week just before Xmas and booked a week at this lovely resort. Have to say that we have stayed at quite a few different resorts around the world and this rates highly compared with them. We have had a lovely week here in a huge apartment with great views of the sea, great amenities and the management of the whole complex is excellent. Could not have wished for a more relaxing time.

A one-night stay. 3 bed apartment was spacious and met our needs. Only issue was with air-con!
Late check-out for $45 was really appreciated. Allowed us to make good use of the pool on the last day.
Struggled to find breakfast locally - surfclub wasnt serving this weekend.

We had a fantastic 5 night stay here in a 2 bedroom apartment which accommodated 2 adults and 2 children very comfortably. Our apartment was a ground floor apartment which was great as we had direct access to the apartments grassed area, bbq's, pools, and most importantly, the beach. Everything we needed was in the apartment and it was an easy drive to Kawana Shopping Centre to stock up on food and drinks for the stay. Would happily stay here again.

Thank you for great feedback. Whilst we have some higher apartments that have lovely views you can't beat a ground floor apartment when you have children. You don't have to worry about them going up and down in lifts as they can walk straight out the back door to everything they need. So glad you enjoyed your stay :) It's a great location and as you mentioned nice and close to the shopping centre. You can walk there easily in 10 minutes if you are feeling energetic :) We hope to see you again soon.

PROs:
Beachfront location.
2br apartment was very nice, clean and spacious, with artworks.
View of beach vegetation and pool.
Plenty of pillows and blankets were provided.
Easy underground parking with choice of elevator or stairs.
CONs:
Bedroom was not dark enough at night as shutters did not block enough light.
Cigarette smoke from other balconies drifted up to our balcony - not the fault of management, but a problem with this multi-storey style of accommodation.
Pool was noisy at times.
PROs:
Beachfront location.

Thanks for your feedback Cate. I think you might have stayed in S11 which is a lovely apartment. The plantation shutters in the bedroom probably do keep the bedrooms a bit lighter. All of our apartments have different décor some with blinds and others with block out curtains. Something to think about when next you book. I think you'll agree though it's a lovely location. So close to everything and right on the beach and the apartments are nice and spacious. We hope to see you again soon.
