We were early at this place having stayed the night at a hotel in Balanga, Bataan. We were surprised that the day tour is P1,500 per person (4 people = P6,000). We were offered to stay for the price of P9,000 for small increment we can enjoy to stay at the hotel. We asked to view the rooms before deciding...

we went to Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in the weekend of March 18-19. We made a reservation through phone a few days before and we were all set to go on Saturday morning March 18. From Quezon City it was a 2.5-3 hrs drive and we arrived at Las Casas just before lunch time. We have visited this place...

Very limited places to eat. Basically not for families but wedding parties and couples. Beware the organisation of the activities - typically pinoy! As with most of Philippines, too expensive for what it is. Much better value going to Thailand, Vietnam etc. The sort of place you would go once for a day trip, but never bother to return.

The place is awesome but with poor service. Staff are friendly but i guess its the management that sucks. Check-in/Check-out process alone is a mess and I think the management should give same priced resorts a visit so they could learn. Food option is also limited like if you bring your kids they wont appreciate it. Not worth the price...

My friends and I went here for day tour only. I bought our entrance ticket for a discounted price at 1 of the travel expo held in SMX. The place is really beautiful and nostalgic. I felt like i traveled thru a time machine. We chose to eat lunch at Cafe Del Rio since it is cheaper than the restaurant...

The place is true to its pictures and descriptions. Although some areas are being built, one can see the effort of putting up this huge masterpiece. Settled fronting the beach with the mountains as backdrop, houses that reflect a period where Filipino craftsmanship and warm hospitality you feel trasported back in time . The house were we stayed reminded me...

The property theme is gorgeous, very beautiful buildings. The staff are dressed to theme too. The location seems to be mainly targeted for local tourism. Be dressed too to take photos. Unfortunately, service here is passive. You need to ask and demand in order to get basic service. To get around the property, there's jeeps and buggy rides, at intervals....

I really admire the effort of the owner of Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in bringing the old, lost houses of the past and restoring them in one place to be remembered and admired by the future generation. However, I think the day tour rate is too pricey considering that they only offer a day trip around the houses with...

This place is i would say is the only place in this country where you can find so many 'ancestral houses' put together in one place. Being there brings us back to the beauty & glory of the past -- the culture & life that was so simple compared to the what we have today. The cobbled stone streets, the lovely...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A fine showcase of Filipino history and craftsmanship, Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bataan takes you back to 18th-century Philippines in the twinkling of an eye. Architectural pieces of a bygone era, from different parts of the country, were reconstructed brick by brick, plank by plank. The noble-class mansions, wooden stilt houses, and a grand main building made of stone stand proudly in a village of cobblestone streets. To add up to the ambiance, a backdrop of majestic mountains, expansive rice fields, and a running river that flows to the sea, are found in the vast property. Truly a travel destination unlike any other, this resort in Bataan is a living museum of Philippine heritage. The traditional houses as hotel accommodations are the centerpiece of this Bataan beach resort about 125 km northwest of Manila. Even so, this destination resort does not lack in providing avenues for entertainment, relaxation, and recreation. It has the Napiya Spa, a swimming pool, private beach, gaming center, 3 restaurants, conference and banquet facilities, cultural shows, and heritage tours. Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar takes pride in giving you a glimpse of the past, reliving the age-old yet distinctive Filipino traditions, while providing the luxuries and comforts of contemporary times. ... more   less
