Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was an overnight stay for us before a horse ride the next day. It was perfectly positioned just out of Torquay. It is delightful! A small block of just 5 rooms, it's located back from the main road so whilst you hear a little road noise, it's quiet overall. The view out the window is stunning - we arrived and watched a family of rabbits hopping about, which my daughter loved. The room was spacious and clean and the bed comfy. Lady checking us in was lovely. It really is a little special spot!

My friend and I stayed here on the 3rd april 2012. The motel is about 5km from Torquay. This is a lovely budget motel of only about 5 rooms, i believe we had room 1, and is situated down a lane. You have to keep watch for the roadsign as it is only visible at the end of the lane, and you can easily miss it. The room itself was lovely and clean, also the bedding and bathroom. In autumn it gets a bit chilly there, but there were extra blankets, electric blanket and heater in the room. There was also a small table and chairs in our room which overlooked the extensive garden, which could have done with a little t.l.c. The owner was very nice and would provide continental breakfast, should you need it. There was part of the garden that could have done with being fenced off, away from guests view, as this was where they stored "junk" and a rusty skip full of rubbish. Despite this we had a very comfy stay and were able to watch the parrots as we ate our breakfast in the room.

Stayed one night. Owner is helpful and friendly. Rooms aren't modern but are comfortable and clean. Beds were comfy. HD tv and DVD player were nice bonus. Torquay is around 5 minute drive which was fine for us even with a 4 month old who hates the car. We would stay again :)

Good neat little block of 5 motel style rooms. Nothing flash but clean and tidy. It is a little bit out of the way. No Uber available for pick up from this location. $20ish morning taxi fare to Torquay on a Sunday morning. But pre-book with Geelong Cabs 131-008.

The motel is quite dated and run by an older lady, it’s clean, bed was comfortable, and was ideally located near Torquay (Trendy and busy) Bells Beach, and Anglesea (more laidback and family friendly than Torquay)
The drought has impacted the gardens severely so it really looks nothing like the pictures at the moment. However it was quiet, had a decent sized TV and a hot shower, it also had good NEW air con which was ideal for the heatwave conditions we were here for. The lady is friendly and offered advice when we asked for recommendations. All in all it’s not flash but it’s comfortable enough.

We checked in late after driving there after work. We called to let the lady know we would be late, which was lucky because there are only a few units and it is run by an older couple. I think I kept her up. The room was pretty comfortable, separate toilet and bathroom. Can't say much as we only really spent sleeping time there, but the view from the window was gorgeous and there was zero traffic and noise.

This motel was even better than we thought. We paid $120 for a night and weren't expecting much but the room was nice, bed comfortable and it was nicely located to get to Bells beach and Torquay without having to pay the coastal mark up.

I don't know why you would stay here, but if you have to, it's good enough. We had a family gathering nearby, so the location suited us, as did the price. It is clean, the bed comfortable with lovely crisp clean sheets, but there is no noise insulation at all!

By turning on the hot water tap, the pipe which seems to run the length of the motel, makes a ticking sound as it expands - and the tap wasn't even in our room!

The people three rooms up from us had breakfast delivered, and when they knocked on their door, we thought it was ours! We could also hear conversations during the night and morning.

The wifi is slow, that is IF you can get onto it. We gave up in the end

This motel was clean and nice and quiet, situated in some lovely gardens. If you don't want to stay right next to the hustle and bustle of main roads, this is a good choice. Only a few minutes drive from Torquay and you're back in the action. Tennis courts nearby which I think are available to use.
