Initial impression one of disappointment but over time the place grew on us and we enjoyed our stay and would come again. There are different types of rooms and within a particular type. Various online accommodation sites that need to be updated with info and photos be specific to room type. With that seemed to be different housekeeping arrangements. We had a 2 bedroom apartment first floor - no lift (knew that). Did rearrange (put back on leaving) chair from desk one bedroom to lounge/kitchen area as only 2 seater lounge there. Is 4 person unit - told take chair from balcony. Side table from lounge area to between single beds. Towels changed roughly 2nd daily except long weekend. Linen change and tea bags etc (not milk) replenished day 7. Had to ask for tea towel to be changed day 5. On arrival had to ask for cooking utensils, shelves for fridge be replaced and pods for coffee machine. For an apartment fridge is small (some rooms have large one). 2 hot plates (flat surface type), microwave and narrow sink. Room was clean, blackout curtains and though on road side minimal noise. Soft pillows and beds comfy. Smart TV lounge and both bedrooms.
Staff mainly all friendly and helpful. Had to ask but did get toilet paper resupply etc.
On site restaurant for dinner except public holiday and Sunday. Food was nice. Coffee machine visible but does not work Room service only breakfast Mon to Fri except pub hol. Clean pool. Spa not heated with very short bubble cycle. Laundry $4 a cycle
Great balcony and views. Grounds clean except for bit of dirt/cig butts against a few walls. Onsite conference function rooms which did cause a parking issue one day. Lots of cafes nearby and Aldi Woolies walkable/quick drive

Only stayed one night on business in the area but thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Rooms were clean, as was the property throughout. The restaurant attached to the motel was surprisingly, with good quality food and drinks that were reasonably priced. Would stay again.

A very nice motel with all the prerequisites. I was fortunate to get a ground floor room. Welcoming staff which is a key for me and they worked an honest rate as I am stuck here for two days. Its not the money, its the effort that they made.
Restaurant attached which is pleasant but it is not Haut Cuisine - interesting menus and some things were tasty - some a little "powerful" in flavours. Maybe I am fussy.
A little road noisy - typical yobbos doing Friday night wheelies somewhere close but for that I don't blame the motel.
Towels good quality - all the soaps and stuff. Room has microwave - decent lighting and a work table with side light.

Coopers Colonial - an honest motel... honest price and in this day and age - unit is clean..

Queensland has an issue where many hospitality staff are home grown. In fact it happen across all of Australia .. While people "try to provide service" - the art of doing it 100% right is a learned art.. So, at Coopers - I therefor give them credit for at least a good attempt.

Excellent Service and staff , looked after us and made sure we
were happy ! Lots of beautiful decorations and fresh towels!
Accidentally I left some of my clothes in the cupboard in our hotel room. I have contacted reception and Elana was very supportive and helpful. she packs them nicely and send them to my address by Australia post. Thanks a lot Elana.
The hotel is superb in term of location, food and staff friendliness. Plenty of restaurants and shops close by. where ever you like to go north - south, east - west all directions has easy access to express ways.
The loyalty and house keeping team go out of their way to make the stay memorable, comfortable and enjoyable! Keep up the good work!

I have stayed at the coopers colonial motel before and it has been fine. This time I was disappointed, the bathroom floor had dark black hair all over it, a dirty top belonging to someone else was on the floor under the table, and the clean towels had just been thrown on the suitcase stand. On closer inspection it looked like the floor had not been cleaned, the whole carpet was dirty and the floor that was not carpeted was sticky. At least the restaurant was as good as always. I stayed in room 26 and there was a continuous noise, like water running out the back. Very dissatisfied with this stay.

Room was booked online and after looking at the photos on their web site seemed like it would be a reasonable choice for us and our dog, upon inspection after booking in late in the evening we found a filthy room, large area of paint peeling from the bathroom ceiling, sticky floors and carpets and mould in most corners. Complained to reception and they offered another room ( apparently an "upgrade") that was marginally better.
We were supposed to stay 3 nights but decided for our health that we move out first thing in the morning, missing the free breakfast, we found an alternative hotel that was 1000 times better for less money.
Avoid this hotel and look elsewhere

Very friendly and helpful staff, however the facilities aren't up to scratch. Rooms are dated and a little smelly. Pool was dirty. If you're expecting WiFi in your room - forget about it. You can only get internet out the front of your room or in reception, which wasn't convenient when we needed to work via the computer at night-time. The staff though are very nice and willing to please (both in the motel and restaurant). Their fresh Tasmanian oysters are delicious, but it's not fine dining - it's bistro.

Was supposed to be staying there to work in the area for 2 nights. when i got there and gave them my name, I was told that I did not have a reservation although i know that it was booked through wotif.
Found that my booking had come through however they had not seen it. Gave me someone elses room. Found the room to be old and in dire need of an upgrade. Luckily heater and tv worked and the one light that did work in the room was on all night. Got a phone call and found that they were booked out the 2nd night of my stay with them. They have since put me up somewhere else.
Reception was extremely apologetic but never again will i stay there.

stayed 2 nights have stayed here before, but it has gone down hill massivly, the only reason i say poor instead of terrible is the food in restaurant was good, the motel is in much needed upgrade refurbish, old furniture old beds, old curtains very dirty, sheets not white in colour very old, bedside tables falling apart and chipped all over, raw sewage smell in my room when i came in at 9pm they just tried to cover it up with spray, my room should have been changed,i was told at checkout they had a problem they thought they fixed, but made another one just moved the blockage.one last thing shower was not properly cleaned mould scum build up, plus paint peeling off walls in bathroom.my room no.6. ground floor. my advise to you is check out the room first, if you can good luck.

Well we saw people with pets staying, so I suppose it is. Better check with Reception though.
