Detailed Reviews
First time staying in Fingal Bay and were very happy with the holiday park. The staff were able to help us with our last minute booking and then were able to book us an extra night when we arrived despite limited availability.
The camp site sizes are very good, about 9mx10m which was enough space to fit our medium and small tents, shelter, car, and trailer on. There was a fairly large shade cloth thing pegged to the ground of each camping site which was really useful as we didn't walk as much sand/leaves in to our tent.
The facilities were good, with nice clean bathrooms, a good kitchen with microwaves, kettles, stoves, ovens, sinks, detergent etc. The pool was really nice. The atmosphere at the park was really good too, with everyone being quiet from about 9pm until 7:30 or so in the morning which helped a lot with sleep.
It is just a short walk down to the beach and a short walk to the local cafe/takeaway/shop.

We have just enjoyed another fantastic stay at Fingal Bay, located just across the road from the beach. The staff are really friendly and take great pride in ensuring the grounds and buildings are kept in a meticlously clean and tidy manner.
The pool is sparkling and great even for those with mobility concerns as there is a very gently slope into the water, as well as a child friendly pool.
We will be back again!!!

Fingal Bay Holiday park gave us "old couple" a relaxing week, with clean common area facilities, security and strict adherence to the common rules for everyone's enjoyment. The location is close to a beautiful beach, handy to restaurants, cafe, general store and Service station. A short drive to Nelson Bay marina and shopping centre. Pet friendly for the non busy holiday periods with safety in mind. Friendly staff, easy online or phone booking, inexpensive and value for money. Certainly one of the best parks I've stayed in.

Great 3 night getaway in beautiful Fingal Bay. Warm weather for the Australia Day weekend, the holiday park, although busy, still remained a laid back and friendly place to stay. The cabins are thoughtfully set out to maximise the available space as well as your privacy. Pool facilities are great for kids and adults alike, and for those after some salt and sand, Fingal Beach is just across the road.
Hard to beat.

This is a well positioned park opposite a beautiful beach and the drive thru site was great for the motorhome, the reason for the 2 star review was the filthy state of the ensuite. Paying over $100 a night for a site I at least expected a clean toilet and shower (ensuite toilet had the usual paper seal which showed it had supposedly been cleaned). As we were a late check in and the office was closed we had to clean and disinfect the toilet and shower using our own supplies before anyone could use it. We had just arrived from a stay at Shoal Bay Holiday Park where we also had an ensuite site, which was perfectly clean as was the beautiful entire park.

A scenic drive, passing turquoise waters and a picturesque marina, takes you to the last beach on the peninsula and the Fingal Bay Holiday Park. This is a well kept gem. My family stayed here in Getaway Cabin #7, perfectly located across the large heated pool. Pool has a good deep end and shallow end. There is a arcade/games room which even has some free games like Pac-Man. Maybe I liked the latter more than the kids ;) If you are in to table tennis or regular tennis bring your rackets or borrow/hire from the reception. A short walk across the road is Fingal beach. And a mere 5 min walk around the corner is 2 cafes and a corner grocers. Bigger grocery shops are only 6-12 min drive away to stock up. There is also lots to do in the surrounding areas, from Toboggan Hill Park (a family favorite) to dolphin watching or a 4WD drive on close by Stockton Beach (permit required, can only be bought locally $33 for 3 days). We definitely want to return here again and so do the 3 families we travelled with too.

I stayed for 2 nights only, a camping weekend with my teenage children and I did not want to leave. The park is in the perfect location, across the road from such a beautiful beach. Great SUP and surf learning conditions; shallow waters and long waves. A small (sleepy) village has all what one needs on a short holiday, Holiday Park facilities are modern, clean and well positioned within the park. Love it all.

Fingal Bay is truly an awesome place blessed with beautiful natural scenery and diversity. As a lover of the outdoors I was like a pig in mud and staying at Fingal Bay caravan park was fantastic. It is perfectly positioned just opposite Fingal Bay and out of the busyness of Nelson Bay which suits me very well. The cabin I stayed in was clean with a nice leafy outlook, the staff were fantastic; friendly and very helpful. Absolute gem of a place. Happy to recommend.
