What we liked - *The location is stunning. The resort is set amongst small farmers' fields with beautiful mountains in the backdrop *The staff were friendly and helpful *Lovely clean swimming pool *The unusual, but traditionally Hmong bungalow layout which included a communal hearth/firepit in the centre *Simple but very tasty food which is very reasonably priced. The penang curry...

Well, I would disagree with some reviewers arguing that one night is more than enough. We decided to sleep there two nights and we definitely do not regret it. It is just so fulfilling to finally take some time: time to walk in the fields around the hotel, walk in the nearby Hmong village, time to enjoy the nearby waterfalls...

Nice and friendly accomodation, good for relax but also as start to develop all the destinations which are recommend by Chang Mai tourist agencies, because most of them are next to Maerim. Local chief is very helpful and a good organizer in case of need. Hmong tribe shows original culture. Rooms are big but simple (without air condition) and clean....

We stayed for just one night as part of our 5 day tour. It was a welcome break from travelling to finally have some quiet time, although it rained for a couple of hours, it was nice as it cooled us all down. The house we stayed in had 4 separate rooms each we 2 beds with shower and toilet...

We stayed here for one night as part of a tour. It was lovely. Quiet peaceful something a way from the hustle and bustle. Views from pool stunning. The BBQ in the evening was lovely. Drink a bit on the expensive side compared to other areas. The show that they put on during the BBQ was good. Very friendly staff.

Good experience as a one off. Literally the middle of no where so you can see all the stars ( this was the highlight for me) the bungalow cabin thing is ok not wildlife proof so you have all sorts in the room we were kept up all night by two lizards and all you hear is a horny frog...

Very clean houses with four hotel rooms to a house and a large open area with fire pit. Each room has rustic wooden finish which tends to be very dark. Room power sockets are not the same as other hotels in Thailand. Therefore charging phones etc was not possible. No air con in rooms but not needed as meshed Windows...

The lodge are into mountains, everything is made wood, little dark with small bathroom. From the wonderful pool you can see the rice fields and the green vegetation around the lodge. At night if there are no moon or there are cloudy, you can hear clearly (near to you) to sing the cricket and others singers all togethers The staff...

Stayed as a family so had 2 rooms (2 + 3 px). The setting of the bungalows in the resort, totally immersed in the nature surrounding it is amazing. Sit in the balcony in front of the rice fields etc. Staff was friendly, breakfast good. Recommended.

love it here! food - plain especially for Thais. accommodation - basic, no air-con. because all those don't matter anymore at Hmong Hilltribe Lodge. All (or maybe most) of the staff here are Hmongs. They are purely friendly. The place is amazingly very clean. Food is fresh, nothing special but we found it somehow very delicious! What's exceptional here is...
