It's a nice hotel right next to the beach. Service is 100% excellent. Big nice yard and perfect size swimming pool. Beach is 2 minutes waking distance. Don't expect a 5 stars hotel room because it's not. Room was neat and clean. I'll definitely come back to this place and recommend it to anyone. I consider this hotel a mini...

was visiting pedernales for a couple days and there arent many hotels to choose from. we chose this one since it looked nice on the outside and lobby. Our room was TINY! very small for 2 people. There was a double bed, cable tv and it was air conditioned. I think what I didnt like was the walls in the...

We visited it because we wanted to travel around Pedernales. It had enough space and the swimming pool was ok. People were nice, and the food at the restaurant was good enough. Expect to cover your needs, not higher than that.

First of all, if you haven't been to to the DR you need to recalibrate your expectations. This hotel is pretty on the outside and looks rather grand, but it is really just the shell. We had a large room with 2 double beds, OK mattresses. USual DR pillows (lower your expectations), only cold water in shower (again, standard in...

There are not many hotels in Pedernales and Villa del Mar is one of the best values for the area. Rooms are large and clean, AC works perfectly (almost no power cuts), ceiling fans. Cable TV, a nice and clean swimming pool. Great attention from staff, a special thanks to Henry "Enrique" the Haitian and to Altagracia who did everything...

On my trip to Hoyo de Pelempito and Bahia de Las Aguilas, I decided to stay in Pedernales since those trips are tiring and make the 2 hour drive back to Barahona a bit painful. The area itself is sad to witness, its a shame how the government pretty much has this area of the country abandoned. The poverty in...

I have pretty much took a look at most of the hotels in the area, the hotel Dona Chava is pretty good but seems like the rooms are smaller... but over all, the hotel was good. The rooms are small but great and comfortable, the AC works perfectly, with great ceiling fans, the bathroom is small but very correct for...

You can custom order what you want to eat and when you want to eat. The price is US$30 per night. They always...

Do not expect to find a 5*L hotel. Wrong place but it's the best available in that little village, Pedernales. It has a lovely pool and the security at night. It's ok, only because it's a step away from the Haitian border and because we were on the way to Baya de Las Aguilas (The Eagles' Bay). Free wifi in...
