Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I tried to stay here after a 10 hour drive. I messaged them upon booking that I would be arriving late and where was it appropriate to park my rental truck.
They never responded.
I phoned them and left a message asking the same.
They didn’t respond.
It was too late to cancel re booking rules so I continued on. I phoned again to ask again about the truck parking and to make sure they knew although late check in I was still coming.
They didn’t pick up phone or ring back.
I turned up and the office was completely closed shut and dark.

I was magically supposed to know the exact button to push on arrival. I had to continue driving home exhausted and tired.
When I asked for a refund they were funnily enough rapidly responsive ( imagine that!) that they don’t owe me anything cause all I had to do was press a button that they had not told me about.
There was no apology for ‘ I’m so sorry we did not respond to all of your messages or phone calls, we were lazy and couldn’t be bothered’ . Nope nothing. So be prepared for crappy customer service and utter lack of communication.

My husband visited the toilet when we first arrived. He said it was the worst he had ever seen. We did not use the facilities for the rest of our 6 day stay.
We are very well travelled so this assessment is not off the cuff.
We had a pit of some description right where we were to park, the lid was cracked, uneven and a trip hazard.
The rubbish bin was overloaded with rank food scraps scattered on the ground attracting flash.
Absolutely disgusting all round

The pictures are not what you get. It is run down and not clean. Wish I had read reviews before going. We stayed in a cabin and was surprised by the state of it. The entire park would benefit from a full face lift. I wiped everything down on arrival.

I was pleasantly surprised with my studio cabin. It was clean except for vacant spiderwebs. The bed and linen were clean and comfortable, pillows great. The hot water was hot. I noticed the traffic and train noise the first night, but not the following nights. The bathroom was tired but clean. It was missing some soap, any soap and a bathmat. Both the bath towels were in reasonable condition but had a very strong smell of cigarette smoke (maybe from the laundry). Glad I had my own. If you need a cheaper night stay, this one is for you.

This place is a dump, literally. The pictures online must be highly filtered or of a different park. There are rips in the furniture, holes in the floor, cigarette butts everywhere around the cabin and an actual dumping ground behind the cabin, mould in the bathroom, the mirror is covered in toothpaste, the pillow cases weren't changed and the staff were extremely rude

Unfortunately one of the noisiest locations, set between a main highway on one side and a trainline on the other where coal trains thundered through, day and night, every 10 minutes - and they can be over 1 km long! The owners have not been there long and there's a lot of work needed to bring the place up to expected standards - like better site identification, more modern power and water supply to sites, soap holders in the shower, hand towels and hand washing liquid in the toilets.

The caravan park has lots of permanent residents so not really a holiday environment. Our cabin was budget-friendly, clean and comfortable with great heating. Warmed up the cabin quickly on a freezing winter night. The owners were quick to respond and repair the broken lock on our cabin door. Friendly owners and very good service. Good for overnight stays.

Stayed in the cabin for 3 nights. Clean and when the gas cooker did not work staff were quick to give me a replacement. The park has a lot of permanent residents which is not a great thing when on holiday. I lot of delapitated caravans. Bbq I would question cooking there. Right next to highway and constant coal trains.

OMG … what a mistake it was to stay at this place … the train line is directly opposite the caravan park, so you hear coal trains shunting all night. I don’t think a cleaner or a maintenance person has operated in this caravan park for ages. We only stayed 2 nights and in that time, the toilets or showers were never cleaned (they were full of dead bugs and hand paper/toilet paper littered the amenities). We felt safer showering in our own caravan. We heard that one of the permanent residents got done for selling drugs which sort of supported the vibe we got when we entered the caravan park, with bogans sucking on a bong near the amenities when we were setting up. We even went for a walk to the Showgrounds contemplating packing up and moving there. We slept with one eye open watching the stuff on display in the back of our Ute tub. There are no locks on the toilets and 3 of the 5 (in the ladies toilet) were extremely unsanitary. My only tip is - Go stay at the Showgrounds.
