We stayed 4 nights at the Seagulls Guesthouse. It is truly a guesthouse, somewhere in between a budget hotel and a hostel. Manager was friendly and helpful during check in, despite being very busy with all the people checking in and out of the place. Each room is private, with its own sink (amazing when you don't have to leave...

Absolutely the best affordable place I have stayed at in Tauranga although the dorm room I stayed in was very small, the other areas are super spacious big lounge area, nice kitchen & good outside areas you can sit & relax. It feels like home away from home!!! The staff are fantastic aswel. Highly recommend....

Rooms were perfectly comfy for private dorms. Shared areas such as sitting room kitchen were amply stocked with utensils, cutlery etc. There was even a did collection. However, the 2 BBQS were unusable dirty and there was a very OAP vibe here. We were completely ignored by other lodgers, which I guess made it quiet and relaxing. The wifi was...

Well run and relaxed guesthouse with great communal areas. The owners and are friendly and helpful. There is a big range of guests from young backpackers to families to those in the 'older' categories. I'd definitely recommend.

The people were really nice it was just a bit dull and didn't have many guests when we went so it...

This place is a modest walk from the centre of Mount Maunganui but also within reach of a range of useful amenities on Maunganui Road. For example, the local New World Supermarket is also within walking distance. This is my third stay here over the Mount Festival weekend and I have always found it a pleasure to be here. The...

Quiet Location with very easy access by 10mins car to Beach and Restaurants. Our Room a little small for Queensize bed but it was clean. Kitchen was a little dated but clean and good equipments. Living space was big and Car Park space was also available

I'd give it a five-star review if it were reasonable walking distance to the beach, but given how much it costs, we are not complaining in the slightest. Staff was most pleasant, our en suite room had everything we needed, and it takes five minutes to the beach, or to the center of town for restaurants, cafes and bars.
