We were unexpectedly driving through and called in late in the hope of a meal. Knew nothing about the place and enquired about coming to eat with our dog in tow. We could not have been made more welcome. Seated in a side room where dogs welcome, as well as our table set, a floor mat and water bowl had...

Went for Sunday lunch with my partner. Was interested to see what it was like as I had not been there for a good number of years at a time when the place was exceptional and at the top of its game. Not sure if since then competition has caught up, but could mention several other places not a million...

Visited the Angel Inn on Sunday 5/3/17 - very good service, staff very polite and the food was fine, my wife had the Sunday lunch- looked delightful and tasted so, I had the Coley wrapped in Parma Ham - it was bit small for £15 .... but tasted good. All in all very enjoyable.

The perfect place for a pint by the fire sheltering from the wind and rain, a casual meal with friends or a special occasion with family. We have used the accommodation a few times when family have come to stay and it really is luxury. The staff are incredibly attentive which makes for a memorable experience. We feel very lucky...

Love the Angel Inn. We visit regularly and always enjoy the great food, wonderful atmosphere and friendly staff. Fantastic place to eat, with gorgeous accommodation in a very special setting which provides a window onto that most beautiful of countryside - The Yorkshire Dales. Have held two functions in the Angel's 'Cave' - great for family get togethers, a birthday...

Visit the Angel on a regular basis, and love it. Whether it's just for a pint, business meetings or romantic dinner, the service and food is always first class. Bar menu is great with the family, and then for a true fine dining experience, the restaurant is excellent. The wine selection (and knowledge of the team) is excellent, and choice...

we booked a Prosecco Break. Our overnight stay for four was perfect. On arrival, the friendly manager showed us to our suites, both were quirky, beautifully furnished and our prosecco was waiting on ice for us to enjoy. Everything for our comfort was to hand. Fridge, water, hospitality tray with biscuits. The ice bucket already filled, fresh milk in our...

Just returned from a one night stay at this lovely place. We've dined here many times over many years but this was our first stay. We were greeted by a friendly and enthusiastic member of staff to our very pleasant room. As we had dogs with us our room choice was small but we were more than satisfied with it....

This is a great pub in the classic English tradition - you walk in and know exactly what sort of place you are in - it exudes hospitality. But it also has an extra level of quiet luxury, a sense of generosity which just makes you feel good. We had the Garden Room which was spacious and properly appointed, and...

We had one night here and found the entire stay to be fantastic from start to finish. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and looked after at the bar, then shown to our room in a building across the road from the pub which was full of character and charm. The food was excellent and facilities suited us perfectly, some...
