Good location: next to bus and very close to central square. Budget hotel (although overpriced in our mind). Room needed cleaning: there were gecko droppings on sheets and bugs (no, they were NOT bedbugs). Also, there is a large space under door for bugs to come in (and they do: we had a large cricket crawl on us). No hooks,... More

$350 for tiny room. "Agua caliente" barely warm. And no breakfast as suggested by other reviews. Mattress old with springs digging in whilst sleeping. I've slept in much worse places but $350 is a rip off. Only stayed in el fuerte one night so didnt look elsewhere but sure there must be other cheap options nearby...

We spent 2 nights before our Copper Canyon train trip in late August and another on our return. Our first room was very large with private bathroom and a/c (which was needed) and cable tv. The second room had same amenities but was smaller. For the price they were good value, although due to heat and humidity felt a little... More

We arrived in the evening around 8ish. Check-in was very easy, we were asked, if we like our room (happens so rarely, I vote this for a very good sign) and got indications to a local and very authentic Taqueria to eat (best spot in town, 1 Taco = 10 pesos, and it is just delicious!) The next day we... More

I loved this place as soon as I walked in, straight from a long journey. I was greeted with happy faces, and a delicious breakfast. My room hadn't been slept in for a while, so as I woofed down my eggs and coffee and juice my room was cleaned. All the rooms have a bathroom. The place is decorated in... More

A truly 'great find' for budget travelers, we stayed at the Hotel and Hostel Guerrero for 5 nights before and after our train journey to the sublime Copper Canyon. The rooms were large & clean off of a patio garden with comfortable beds, en suite bathrooms, excellent air conditioning ( a must in the heat of July) and excellent internet... More
