Good basic hotel about an hours walk from the start of the Samaria gorge. Large room. Mattress was a bit uncomfortable. Food was ok. Tour buses stop for breakfast about 07 15 so leave before then if you're going to the gorge early.
We have been to this hotel quite a few times now,not to stay in but to stop for a snack when we are sightseeing in the area.

Excellent cooking, excellent local ingredients, excellent plates served in a familiar atmosphere. Try the Lamb and the saganaki (local) cheese (not the standard feta!). All meat is nice as well, we had almost all of the kinds.
Omalos is a short few kilometers away from the Samaria Gorge entrance therefore we opted to stay here. It is not meant to be a luxurious stay but the staff was very friendly and all the necessary amenities were available. Just know that the hot...More
Clean and basic rooms for good price. Food is good and staff very helpfull. Good to stay before early start of Samaria gorge hike. Another nice walk starts acros hotel. No supermarkets or shops nearby.
