We spent one night here and it was great. Accommodation is simple but adequate and the friendly staff run a good taverna. But the great thing is the location at the west end of the bay nestled under high cliffs and a five minute walk along a dirt road from the town (they will pick up/drop off in the town...

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights after walking down the Samaria Gorge. The rooms were clean and the owners extremely friendly. The food was pretty good but a bit too salty sometimes for our taste. The beach is very nice and secluded and the hotel provides a free pedlo and canoes for the guests so good for seeing...

We spent two nights here at the start of September having stayed only one night on our previous visit. As before we found the hotel friendly, clean, comfortable and welcoming. We arrived after walking through the gorge and the peace and quiet that descended as we walked away from the village was just what we needed. We spent the two...

I stayed here, after hiking down the Samaria Gorge, due to the excellent reviews on TA. However, I hadn't realised it was so far off the beaten track up a long dusty road. Had I known this, I would have stayed in the village. The rooms, however, are of an excellent standard albeit a little more expensive than elsewhere. Nice...

We were greeted with warmth and hospitality. In a nutshell, this is the perfect place to relax and unwind in a beautiful unspoiled setting. The food was outstanding and our request for fresh fish was met immediately by Nictarius in his pedalo. What a star! Aphrodite's cooking was amazing, the only place to eat in Agia Roumeli. The family were...

“all rooms are spacious, of above average size and well equiped, there's no noise issue, but equally bringing a noisy or messy pet along may prevent you from booking in the front rooms, not sure if pets are allowed at all, generally this hotel is aiming at providing a pleasant and quiet environment to its clients, most such clients dislike noisy kids and pets when on holiday, though the hotel I think has no direct policy against it.”
