We stayed for 5 day's at this hotel, and were made very welcome by the new owner's. It is a beautiful hotel, with comfortable and warm rooms. The typical French breakfasts were to die for, specifically the home prepared fruit yoghurts and the croissants. The hotel itself, is situated about 200 yards from the town square, but was really quiet... More

We have just spent 4 nights in this very pretty hotel in a typically French town. The hotel is set in a peaceful location whilst being near the town & all the transport links. The rooms are extremely spacious & comfortable and the hotel offers a relaxed atmosphere in which to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

In Thiviers, there are few choices for places to stay. We chose this one based on the TA reviews and were not disappointed. We might call it charming, but would not call it enchanting. There is ample parking in the rear, and the rooms are of very good size. We needed a ground floor room so we were in an... More

We stayed for four nights having booked three in advance and Nicola was accommodating in adding an extra night for us. The hotel is comfortable, beds good and decorated in atypical French style. We stayed in Room 5 which was very quiet, good bathroom although watch the small step as you come out of the bathroom. As previous reviewers have... More

We only stayed one night as we were travelling the area looking for a property to purchase. We didn't get off to a good start as we were greeted by a lady ( who I don't believe was the owner ) who questioned whether I would fit the bed in the room we had booked. She then suggested that for... More

My wife and I spent a week in the large en suite room on the first floor, over looking the garden. The room was delightful and tastefully furnished with the largest "emperor"bed we ever slept in. We were in Room 2 and our Ozzie relatives were just as pleased with number 5. Nikki, the proprietor of the hotel, went out... More

Unfortunately we had only one night at this charming old stone hotel. A small but perfectly adequate bedroom with a really comfortable French bed (still can’t get used to the French bolsters though!) which was very welcome after 14 hours on the road. The hotel has a lovely front garden with a few tables for sitting out and inside, a... More

Great big room with antique furniture and a wonderful huge old fashioned bathtub. As it was Sunday night and there was no restaurant open in the village, Nicole the owner came from her home and cooked for us. The French lady receptionist was full of smiles and friendliness. Highly recommend a stay here.

Delightful hotel with all the best features of English and French hospitality. A kettle for making early morning tea is even available on request, which is not something French hotels usually provide. All staff were helpful and friendly and continental breakfast was good. It's a shame there are no evening meals as there is not much else open in Thiviers... More

We were warmly welcomed by the English owner of the hotel who recommended a very good restaurant. The room was great with a big bathroom and the hotel is very convenient for the railway station. Thiviers is a busy town but with many historical buildings and Sartre spent part of his childhood here. Excellent walking country surrounds the town

“I was unaware of any traffic noise as the rooms are double glazed;the station is 2 minutes away.Cars can drive directly to the back of the hotel to a small court yard which has a ramp to lead into the hotel if there are guests with mobility needs. Also the 2 rooms which look onto this courtyard are specially adapted for the disabled but also perfect for the able -bodied.”
