We had a fabulous three night stay in this lovely farmhouse B and B in a very peaceful setting. The accommodation is very comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities (plus delicious homemade shortbread or cookies!). The owners Pauline and Philip are especially welcoming and helpful in providing knowledge of the local area. Fabulous location for walking and some great...

First things first, this establishment is run by the most wonderful hostess you will ever find. Pauline (and Hubby Philip) is a very special host, warm hearted, thoughtful, helpful and very friendly. Now the White Haywood, Wow, it's the perfect B&B and more. Great value and spectacularly clean, the room was spacious and had everything we needed. Great furniture, super...

We had such a lovely stay here, the location is really peaceful and quiet with footpaths leading straight out of the farm onto the mountain above. The family that run White Haywood are incredibly warm and hospitable people and Pauline's cooking is worth the trip alone. Thank you for a great weekend, we felt like our batteries had been recharged!

Wonderful welcome by Pauline after a challenging drive on very narrow road with passing places for a few miles! Should have read details on how to find it!!! Beautiful setting, we had 2 rooms for 3 of us, both rooms lovely. Pauline is a lovely lady, nothing too much trouble for her. We ate in the restaurant, you need to...

Very quiet, relaxing place to stay with a good breakfast. Pauline was a fantastic host, nothing is too much trouble for her. I would fully recommend having a meal in the restaurant. Good home cooking all done by Pauline. Well worth the money to stay and eat. I wish we could have stayed longer as only had one night there....

A wonderful, warm welcome from the lovely Pauline. A superb room (and the best nights sleep for ages!), followed by a delicious, fresh cooked breakfast, all in beautiful surroundings.....one night was not enough and we will be back! Thank you for such a fabulous stay, we've found a piece of heaven on earth.

We come for dinner every year during the Hay Festival. The menu is small and well chosen to highlight the best of British food. We had steaks. Meat of that quality would cost about £12 in a good butcher. Don't know how they make a profit. It was cooked to perfection. Massive generous portions of home-made pie and ice-cream. You...

Fantastic place to stay in the Black Mountains. Food is excellent, rooms are lovely and Pauline is the most friendliest, accommodating host anyone could wish for. Added bonus of a dog friendly room too! We will be back!

We loved our stay in this idyllic spot. Wonderful hosts who looked after us so well - making a nice change for us as we normally do the looking after in our B&B. Delisious food, great views and amazing walks. Lovely pubs nearby. Perfect time of year to visit with lambs everywhere. Saw my first swallow of the year :)...
