I booked last minute on a business trip and wasn't expecting much. Unfortunately, it was worse than I originally thought. The room was MINUTE. I was wrestling with furniture just to get my suitcase on the ground. The bedside light didn't work. The walls are paper thin, so when loud guests came in drunk at 1am, I was completely aware...

It was not a good time to book as it was Boxing Night we wanted to stay over and were about a mile and half away from where Stepson lives. So needed to park the car and walk due to having a little drink during the day. Were pleased that we could find somewhere for the night. The Grantham is...

Good points - the staff were pleasant, the toast was fresh and plentiful, it's a good spot for Trent Bridge and the football clubs, there is free parking outside and a 24 hour McDonalds across the road if that's your thing. Everything else is pretty atrocious really. Tiny rooms, mostly shared bathrooms, threadbare linen, stained carpets, paper thin walls, and...

After reading the reviews I was expecting the most disgusting hotel in England... when actually I had quite a comfortable little stay. this is a very old, very basic, very budget hotel which is very close to the football ground. I actually had a better night sleep on my single bed in room 16 than I would in many other...

In the end we ended up sleeping on top of the covers on the...

After I committed to a booking, I had a look at what others had said about this hotel. What a shock. When I stayed there I thought most of the negative reviews were unfair. The Grantham obviously used to be a commercial traveller's hotel, but it has not moved with the times. It needs some money spending on it to...

Doesn't look like much from the outside but quite nice indoors. The room was extremely small but breakfast was included and very good. A very affordable option if looking to stay for just a night or two and in a great position. Very close to the football stadium so a a good option if in town for a game.

Grantham Hotel? Appalling place, I've spent better nights in a £25 B&B! This is not a hotel, there is no food available in the evenings, there is no licensed bar, and contrary to Booking.com advertisement there is no cooked breakfast option. Don't expect a good nights sleep, the beds are even older than the 'hotel'. The breakfast offered is 'Continental'...
