We didn't stay in the hotel but in a rented house on the grounds. The park and small lake with mating swans and geese plus myriads of birdlife is probably the most attractive feature of the Inn. The pub is friendly and has a cosy atmosphere when a fire is going. The menu is traditional pub food and having had...

Fabulous food, excellent service and beautiful setting! We went for a family birthday celebration in the Coln Room and particularly loved the fresh flowers at every turn. Our host, Carl, looked after us very well and kept us entertained. Thank you, we'll be back! Ps. We finally worked out the card trick!

Busy spot. We went for Sunday chillax. It was booked though we found a table. Service was slow and food was okay, when you are ravenous after wait, tummy needs take over. I would go back though with better planning. Staffing needs sorting and service though friendly was somewhat slow in coming forth.

We stayed here recently for a small break from the city. I booked over the phone and was asked immediately for a £50 none refundable deposit on the room which should have set alarm bells ringing but I thought I'd go with it. The room we were given was very rough around the edges and not something that I'd have...

Visited in the evening and had a nice meal. Good selection on the menu, reasonably priced. Great beer garden. Very welcoming and friendly atmosphere, nice people. Good selection of well cooked seasonal vegetables with our meals. Great selection of beers on draught.

After driving past this pub on numerous occasions and always wanting to try it out, we finally did today. The service was very poor, the manager extremely rude and there was nothing nice about the food. There is absolutely no way we will ever return here and without doubt the worst place we have eaten in The Cotswolds!

Enjoyed a good dinner here with friends, warm welcome, roaring fire, good food. OK, the menu was a bit limited but what you got was good, honest food. We'd go back. Definitely try their Famous Prawn Cocktail - marvellous.

We have passed this ancient inn hundreds of times while travelling between Wiltshire and Warwickshire. It is on the banks of a small river with a steep hill on either side. We always passed at the wrong time of day until last week. It is a very old, unspoiled building with exposed stone walls and a log fire. The sandwiches...

My husband and I visited yesterday with our Golden Retriever. We were made to feel very welcome. We both had traditional Sunday lunches, mine being beef, his lamb. You certainly wouldn't get hungry here, the portions are not small and the presentation was beautiful. The dog didn't get left out either, lots of dog biscuits! Beautiful pub inside and out...

To be honest we were disappointed. Lots of olde worlde atmosphere and charm, but frankly the food is awful. The staff are friendly enough but the place was empty with only a handful of others eating with kids earlier. 8.39 pm and the place is empty. Not surprised. Won't be coming again.
