The approach to the Lodge was 25 km of poor gravel road through dairy farming country & on occasion we were stuck behind Parmalat milk tankers which was quite unpleasant. We had been looking forward to leaving the chalet & walking along the beach but were most disappointed to find that the beach was a good 20 minute walk away....

Dear IngridZA Thank you for taking the time to review us. It is a pity that you had experienced a few unforeseeable circumstances getting to us and with us. We are unfortunately unable to prevent trucks traveling on the dirt road or the dirt road... This is what creates our ambiance of being lost in nature, with beautiful scenery. We...

The property is amazing. It's a perfect place for nature lovers. The walks are well signposted although some time indicators would be helpful. The staff are friendly and the food is excellent. Hope to return one day.

We stayed in a luxury chalet for 2 nights. The chalet was very comfortable and had everything we could possibly need. The restaurant served excellent meals. The surroundings are breathtaking, and the lodge offers a variety of activities to encourage you to explore the property. We enjoyed a number of walks to the nearby beach, which only took about 20min...

Dear Followtheroad2017 Thank you for taking the time to review our establishment. We are glad you enjoyed our property and the scenery. Thank you for understanding our area and that flies are naturally located here. We are however doing everything in our power to control the amount of them. The team and I look forward to welcoming you back! Have...

This beautiful location is one of those hard to find jewels where the beauty of nature is all around you. 250 ha of private coastal landscape with very friendly and professional personnel looking after all our wishes and needs. Our luxury chalet was huge and very comfortable (even had a fireplace) and it was decorated with taste. Striking view to...

We planned this as a one night stop over whilst on The Garden Route It is however 12 miles down an unmade road and the last 1/2 mile is best attempted with an SUV or high ground clearance car The staff were very accommodating and Grant was a star - We got lost (caution another Oyster Bay resort is a...

What a gem... nature at its very best... We enjoyed the beautiful coastline, scenic hikes and tranquility Oyster Bay Lodge offers... Our room was spacious, neat and tidy. The lodge and pool was well maintained. Loved that the horses came to say 'good morning'. We arrived at the lodge later than expected due to a delay however, Daniella's directions were...

There was a comfortable room with your own little terrace. You can walk to the Ocean and get massages or do yoga in an open air hut in the dunes. Every meal was great! The employees were alert and giving good service. A nice place to stay for a couple of days.

We had a wonderful stay at the Oyster Bay Lodge. Keep in mind that you need to travel on a 25 km gravel road to reach the lodge, however once you get there you will want to stay there. The lodge offers a variety of activities including 4 walking trails (ranging from 3km - 7.5km), a mountain biking trail, dune...
