The hotel is totally serviceable, but if you are looking for luxe, you are visiting the wrong place. Service in the Galapagos leaves a lot of room for improvement in general. But at the lodge, there are often shortages of basic food stuffs, like butter and beer. The staff does not communicate all that well in english and the rooms,...

people from the Red Mangrove were coming to our hotel bar to buy beer because it was so much cheaper than they were selling it for at the Red Mangrove. It ticked us off because they ran out of cold beer and we had to wait for some more to be delivered - and the Red Mangrove partiers were all...

We stayed for three nights on Isabela and had the good fortune of staying in the front room closest to the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful especially when we had to change our tickets for the boat ride back to Santa Cruz. Breakfasts were great with lots of fresh fruits - no eggs though. There was some confusion...

There is nothing bad to say about this place. The rooms are spacious, very clean and nicely decorated. The hotel is right at the beach, all places in town can easily be reached within a 5 minutes walk. The staff is friendly. We got an excellent price as we booked when we arrived on Galapagos and it just turned into...

Althought the room was average it was on the back of the Hotel then we didn't have view to the ocean , but the worst thing is we requested to have a trip from Villamil to Puerto Ayora, and we almost missed the boat, and later we had a plane flight to Quito. Service is no part of this Hotel...

I rarely write a bad review and I consider writing one a big responsibility - it is after all peoples businesses and livelihoods you are dealing with but there is no way I can recommend this group to anyone. What I didn't realise when I booked is that RedMangrove is a chain with a number of properties. Where you end...

My wife and I recently visited there and were both very impressed with the property and its proximity to town and it was steps from the beach .The rooms were minimalistic but clean and well taken care of. But what really made the visit special was two young men that were interning from Chile, their names are Gonzalo Huerta and...

We had a great time at the Isabela Lodge. We got the all inclusive package which included an English speaking guide, all of our meals, and the best excursions. Our guide, Eduardo absolutely made the trip for us. He knew so much, and took care of everything. the location of the hotel is really the best you can get. It...

There are really only two things that you require from an all-inclusive holiday 'hotel'....a good bedroom and bathroom, and three good meals each day. This hotel, the Red Mangrove Isabela Lodge, is like a youth hostel, but with the rooms better and the food worse. The bed was actually relatively comfortable, but absolutely nothing worked properly in the bathroom...the taps...

Great choice for staying in Isabela. We had a great rate, and the hotel lived up to our expectations. The location is unbeatable in Isabela. Close to the pier, close to the restaurants, bars, etc. And the beach right in front of the Hotel is just amazing! We even had the chance to swim with sea lions right in front...
