can only described as a 'very tired' hotel in need of attention. Room was cold and appeared not very clean but that was probably due to age. The bar meal was very poor, a piece of shrivelled chicken topped with cheese and saggy bacon, oven chips and peas straight out of the packet.

Nice building, with gardens and overlooking golf course. Plenty of parking and stone's throw from Roby Station, with frequent fast trains to Liverpool (and Manchester etc). Derby Lodge has quite a good bar and pleased to say the ale was on this time! Didn't have dinner but breakfast is cooked to order and good quality. Very helpful and pleasant staff!

A comfortable and clean hotel with efficient and friendly staff who were always happy to help. The room was clean and well equipped. Breakfast was fantastic with a wide range of cereals, bread and fruit, the choice of hot food was unlimited. Great location, very nice hotel set in lovely surroundings.

Good location for us and staff very accommodating as we were a large group gathered for a family funeral. The bathroom is in need of an upgrade, poor shower, rusty marks round taps and on bath. Bed very comfy as always.

The restaurant and bar were under staffed. There were delays to be seated for dinner and breakfast and the quality of the continental servings was poor. The room was usual standard no complaints but the morning was an early start as children were allowed outside in the grounds to play from early, as our room was ground floor we were...

Our room was lovely and big overlooking the grounds. Comfy bed, very peaceful our only observation was that it was a little tired looking and could do with a bit of tlc but other than this really couldn't fault the room. The staff were fantastic, welcoming, chatty and very helpful. The breakfast was excellent and despite the staff clearly being...

An ideal location if either on business or pleasure, quick access to all motorways, trains and only 30 minutes drive into the centre. A countryside feel to the location, the area is quite, so a good nights sleep is almost guaranteed. Staff very friendly and helpful, overall a great place to stay.

Hi Karl, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at our Liverpool (Roby) Hotel. I'm really sorry to hear that the heating wasn't working in your room for the duration of your stay and I can understand how disappointing this must have been especially as you now have a cold. It's also disappointing to hear that...
