Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed here for a night after summiting Sajama before heading back to La Paz the following mornng. The room was fine enough- the bed was comfortable with lots of blankets (it got very cold in the night) and there was even a heater. The bathroom was pretty gross - it didn't look like it had been cleaned, and there was no soap, toilet paper or towels (I know this is a hostel but really they couldn't provide toilet paper and soap?!). We can't comment on the food as we prepared our own meals. It's not a completely terrible hostel, but there's definitely plenty of room for improvement. I have definitely stayed at better/nicer hostels.

Our room was clean, large, with clean linens and towels. We had a double room private bath, the shower was supposed to be hot but was luke warm. It is VERY cold in Sajama but we had 4 blankets on the bed and it kept us warm. We had two dinners and 1 breakfast. The food was excellent. It was more expensive than we thought but was less than La Paz. Not much was open in town. Recommend to visit Sajama and stay in Ossis.

We just stayed there and were quite happy - very hot shower was the very best about it as you really need it there. Nice rooms (we took the most expensive ones in the upper floor for 100bob pp) but could be a bit cleaner to meet European standards. Otherwise bf and dinner was okaish (soups excellent (!), seconds were average).

The hostal was great. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. Prices in Sajama are inflated, but that's to be expected. Shower wasn't super hot, but good enough:) Everyone was very friendly and helpful! Bed sheets didn't look clean... we found lots of hair. It's cold in Sajama. Just be prepared for that wherever you stay. Overall, good hostal.

My friend and I spent three nights at Marcello's Oasis Hostal. The rooms are very spacious and the beds are covered in fleece (sheets, pillow, blanket) with two additional woolen blankets which makes it warm to sleep at night. There was also an electric heater in the room that we could use and gas heaters in the common rooms. There's hot shower in the bathrooms on first floor. The food (breakfast and dinner) was very good, for dinner there are not many other places in the little village. We met Marcello accidentally when we wanted to switch the bus to Sajama in Patacamaya which was helpful. He and his family are very nice and happy to help in any matter, Marcello speaks French fluently. When we needed the once-a-day-minibus back to Patacayama at 6 in the morning, he called the driver to stop at the goatskin first and fetch us to make sure that we will have a seat in the bus. The landscape around Sajama is gorgeous - we really recommend going there if you like nature and have a couple of days to spend.

My husband and I had a wonderful time in this hostal. The room was quite comfortable with hot shower. The owner, Marcello was very friendly and welcoming. The meals were generously prepared and good quality. We had an excellent service from Marcello´s family. We would recommend this hostal without hesitations. On top of it, Marcello speaks french :) Gracias para todo Mike & Helene

To begin with, the welcome is not great, and the employee does not know her region. Then we discover the rooms. The toilets are dirty, clumps of hair found in the shower but also underwear hanging in the shower and crushed soap on the display, the sink not cleaned. In short, the bedding was good but the cleaning was not done. Do not leave your laundry with them because at 20 Bob per kilo it has white marks. Breakfast with very dry sandwich bread Too bad the rooms are spacious, there is heating and hot water.

Comfortable hotel. We had heating in the room, a great luxury! On the other hand, the wifi does not work and the staff is unfriendly, you have the impression of disturbing them as soon as you speak to them. Little extra: the lady who runs the tienda in front is adorable!
