Accommodation is a very important part of a trip away from home. North Norfolk is a beautiful place to stay and there are a great many reasons to visit this wonderful county. When looking for a hotel or bed and breakfast there are three main elements that contribute to a perfect stay - location, food and comfort.

We stayed here as a family bringing our 6 month old on his first time away. The staff were very accommodating, offering to go out in the evening to get Calpol for our teething little one! Rooms were clean and bright, with lovely powerful showers. We ate at the hotel on Saturday evening, and were all extremely impressed with the...

Stopped here by chance on 9 March for our first visit. Nice surroundings with pleasant decor. Decided to go for the 2 course lunch option - Sea Bass, Sauté pots and curly kale followed by their Sticky toffee pudding and vanilla ice cream. The main course was well presented and really tasty and beyond our expectations for a lunch menu....

We stopped at The George at Cley during half term. We have driven past many times over the years and curiousity had got the better of us. The hotel has parking which is a bonus. When we entered from the car park, the entrance was very welcoming with lovely pictures on display. However, as we made our way round to...

Thank you for your review, although its not entirely accurate. The area which you sat is not classed as the 'bar', the bar is the next room over and has all the spirits, ale pumps and lager taps. We knew that some maintenance was needed after the winter and our painters and decorators have just completed a few days work...

Didn't actually stay in the hotel - just visited 'The George' for a celebratory meal, it had been recommended to me. I was our first visit and I was certainly not disappointed. From the initial welcome as we arrived, throughout the excellent service we received throughout our meal. We - 4 of us, all ordered something different, but everything was...

Pub grub and decent beer, parking area which is handy in Cley. The ambience and staff were ok, it doesn't do anything wrong but doesn't do anything memorably well either. If you want a reasonably priced meal in relaxed surroundings you probably won't be disappointed.

We stayed one Saturday night and ate dinner and breakfast. The service was excellent, friendly and efficient. Wild mushroom pate was generous and delicious and my sea bass well cooked ...if a bit too buttery for my taste. Fish and chips awesome. The sausage and black pudding for breakfast were especially good. The public areas: stairs and corridor are run...

We had a very enjoyable 4 nights. The hotel has lots of character and the staff are very friendly and helpfully. Breakfast is excellent an they also have a very good evening menu. The hotel is very convenient for exploring the north Norfolk coast and just up the road from the famous Cley bird reserve.

Excellent place to order a generous Sunday lunch with trendy ingredients like Middle white Pork but also some classic favourites. Have a look at the teapots. Posh Londoners, lovely locals walking magnificent dogs. Good times.
