Best place for the money!! Great guy owner named Steve! The steak dinner was very good and the accommodations were comfortable. I enjoyed the nice comfortable room with good hot water and great beds as well as accommodating staff.

The place felt more like a friends house than a hotel. Staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed.Clean excellent food and reasonable priced. The trifecta. By far my favorite hotel in Argentina. Would make a special trip just to stay there again. Could not recommend it more. Erik Bjarnason

I've never felt more at home and relaxed than I did at Ayelen. This family runned hotel welcomed us from day 1 of our arrival and gave us an even warmer welcome at the return leg of our Aconcagua trip. I couldn't wait to get off the mountain and try their Salmon! This place feels personal like you're amongst friends...

On December 28, I came down from Plaza of Mulas, Aconcagua where my summit attempt was thwarted by a turbulent weather. I was trying to catch a bus to Santiago from Los Penitentes. Hotel Ayelen hotel gave me information about transportation and made a reservation at my request. The bus which was supposed to stop by during 11:30-12:00 did not...

A very friendly place, all the staff where great and the Manager (Ste) is an exceptional host. Proberbley the best mountain hotel I have been in, in my 30 years of mountaineering. I plane to return to this hotel next year or the year after to finish Aconcague.

We stayed in this amazing hotel before and after our Aconcagua expedition. I also knew this hotel from my trip to Aconcagua 3 years ago. So it was clear to use this place as a base again. We enjoyed it again. The rooms are not the most beautiful ones BUT take in consideration WHERE you are and you will love...

This small hotel was a real life saver when the border between Chile and Argentina closed due to mudslides. More than 4,000 people were trapped in the no man's land in between Mendoza Argentina and Chile, yet Steve and his team at Ayelen were accommodating, kind and helpful to us. The hotel is welcoming, with a nice lobby, bar and...

Steve (the owner) was amazingly helpful in everything we needed both before and after our summit of Aconcagua. Great staff overall. We obsessed about going back to the restaurant there while on the climb and the fantasy became a reality once we got back down. One of the best steaks I have had and we also tried the excellent salmon...

We stayed here before and after our climb of Aconcagua. Steve & his staff are exceptional...always eager to assist & make our stay enjoyable. The food is over the top excellent!! We weren't expecting that given the rural location....very delicious and fresh. We had an extended stay following our climb of Aconcagua (waiting for our community gear on the mules)...
