Stayed here for 2 nights whilst travelling in Tassie. Comfortable old timber cottages in a complex of several similar cottages. Upon arrival we were met by the owner/operator who was friendly and helpful with information on local area. There are dining facilities by appointment if you need them, otherwise the cottages have all you need, fully equipped kitchen, bathrooms (towels...

We had a great time, the kids fed the animals - alpacas, goats, peacocks, we saw platypus' in the pond outside our door, we took the bicycle train ride around the corner, walked in the meadow behind the property, and went to Pedder Lake, Styx forest, and the National Park - lots to do, and the couple who manage the...

In a great spot near Mt Field national Park and good for visiting Styx Valley and even the area around Lake Pedder. So, great location, nice place to stay and friendly staff. A gem of a place in the quiet viillage of Maydena. Not the place to come if you want pubs, restaurants etc, there's just the general store and the owners of the site can cook for you if required. If not you have a full kitchen to prepare for yourself. Quiet comfortable bedrooms, hot shower greatly appreciated and of course...

We had a small 2 bedroom cottage which was a good size. It was a lovely quiet place to unwind after a day of travelling & bushwalking. The staff were friendly & helpful in suggesting other things to do locally (e.g. a short drive & walk to a nearby cave) which are not included in the major travel brochures etc.

The cottages are very spacious with lots of room to move. The units are carefully cleaned. Very close to Junee caves which is well worth the short drive. There are more than adequate facilities in the kitchen although some of the utensils etc. were basic. I would recommend these cottages for families.

Giants Table is a collection of former forestry houses arranged around a central lawn. The old houses have no pretensions to luxury but they are spacious and comfortable with well equipped kitchens. The reception area includes a restaurant with pretty good food. Overall, a really nice experience if you don't mind slightly rustic accommodation.

We really enjoyed our stay. The site is a great location for day trips to the amazing southwest wilderness and the Mt Field National Park. Yes the buildings are old and were basic even when new, but we were very comfortable. It's not for someone wanting luxury accommodation, but quite appropriate for those who want a base for a wilderness...

Nice place to get back to nature, the rooms a a little dated but clean and well cared for, we were there on a cold night but they had plenty of heating and we were quite comfortable. Each house has it's own kitchen, lounge and bedrooms so good for couples, families or groups. Set in the small picturesque township of...

Absolutely great facilities and hosts. Owners are extremely helpful and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Very clean cottages. Lots of animals for the kids to pet and feed. Hosts offered us complimentary breakfast since we arrived late and there were no places open to shop. Great location for easy access to the Valley of the...
