We were a party of 8 and there was a very good choice of food for all. My liver and bacon was superb and the ladies and men in the party all enjoyed their variety of dishes chosen. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

We stayed overnight, although we didn't have an evening meal as we were visiting family. We were warmly welcomed both in the car park and reception and shown to our exquisite room. The red lion is a true historic English pub with genuine olde worlde features and charm together with modern spacious accommodation. Our breakfasts were delicious and it seemed...

Our 6 x course fabulous Christmas lunch was a very lovely experience. The staff were all great, and atmosphere very relaxed, fun and festive. We were made to feel very welcome as was our pooch Scooby who spent her time there being thoroughly spoilt by the other diners and waiters. Excellent value , would definitely do it again!

This was our third visit to the Red Lion and once again everything was perfect. Food was lovely, especially the bread and butter pudding which was divine. Service was really good, staff are exceptional. No hassles, just chilled and relaxing. If I lived closer I would be there all the time.

Came to this pub by chance a very nice character pub, a nice inviting log fire. The food was very good mostly sauced locally, the staff very friendly. Could have more real ale, but never detracted from the charm of the place.

My partner and I went for lunch at the Red Lion a few weeks ago, and we had a great time! The fire was warm and inviting, the barman, a fellow South African was very attentive and the food was amazing! Tried the mini desert platter and had to take a doggie bag home! (Which was a first) But totally...
